Never give up. Never surrender.

They lived in a house with broken windows, on a street full of danger. His mother was pregnant
while she was washing the clothes. The baby was coming and she screamed for help. His father went
for help but he had no automobiles to take her to the hospital, nor any money to pay for the
hospital. He was born under a staircase on a dirty towel laid around him.

Her mother was a drug addict. His father was a drug dealer. He was the youngest of 5 brothers. They
all were using cracks. When he was 10, his brother, 3 years older than him, was shot to dead. The
older brother lied in the coffin with the baseball form of the Chicago Cubs, and their mother, at the
top of the coffin was crying among the cops, cuffed from his wrists. Because their mom was still in
jail at the time. She was brought under police supervision to attend his son's funeral.

After a while he was arrested because of the "family profession" and fell to the detention center for
three years. Nobody even came to visit, because his mother, his father and his three brothers were
also in prison.

He was either going fall to the cliff or hold on to life.

In those three years he was alone with himself. There was plenty of time for thinking. "I will not give
up!" he decided to start over again. He finished highschool while still in prison. When he was free, he
got a job at a cargo company. After a while he was practicing basketball until the morning. He
applied to universities. His criminal and troubled family stood in the way during reference checks,
but the administrators of Troy University in Alabama accepted him and he received a scholarship.

He was very talented. The statistics in the college league were great, but he knew he had no chance
in NBA with a 1.77 CMs. What to do? He was going to try it Europe. First in Poland, then in France,
then in Italy, worked for five years. He was not happy, he came to Turkey in 2012 to Izmir.

The miraculous story of life has begun to have miraculous results.

With the money he earned from Basketball, his first job was to help his mother, to save her from
drug addiction, to buy a house that she could safely live in peace. He had been in love with Tangela
since elementary school and they got married. They had two daughters. He never really forgotten
where he came from. He gave financial and moral support for the Lionheart foundation in Chicago
trying to create an opportunity for desperate youth, and joined social responsibility projects to fight
drugs.

He became a Turkish citizen. He was a fan of Muhammed Ali. He wanted to honour him so he took
the name of Muhammad Ali. He was selected to the Turkish national team. Finally he became
became one of the heroes who made Fenerbahe, European Champion.
