Antecedentes
Justificacin
Por otro lado, dada la situacin mundial actual de disminucin de las reservas de
petrleo y del calentamiento global producido por la formacin de gases de efecto
invernadero a partir de la combustin de hidrocarburos, se ha vuelto
imprescindible la bsqueda de nuevas fuentes de energa no contaminantes y
amigables con el medio ambiente, en donde el hidrgeno es el candidato a
sustituir al petrleo como fuente principal de energa. En una economa de
hidrgeno, este necesitara ser transportado desde su fuente de produccin hacia
las zonas industriales para su distribucin. En este sentido resulta
econmicamente factible utilizar la red de los sistemas de transporte por ducto
actualmente instalados y por instalar para el transporte de hidrocarburos. Dado
ste panorama, se vuelve de gran importancia caracterizar el comportamiento
mecnico de los aceros microaleados de alta resistencia destinados actualmente
al transporte de hidrocarburos en presencia de hidrgeno, y en particular el
comportamiento de las soldaduras ya que en estas, dado por la naturaleza misma
del proceso de soldadura, es donde se presentan las zonas ms susceptibles al
agrietamiento.

Para entender cmo afecta el hidrgeno al crecimiento de grietas por fatiga de las
soldaduras del acero microaleado, la estrategia a seguir ser la siguiente:
Igual que en el caso de las pruebas de crecimiento de grietas por fatiga rotatoria
en blanco, se realizarn las pruebas con las probetas cargadas con hidrgeno,
teniendo cuidado de no dejar pasar mucho tiempo entre el cargado con hidrgeno
y la prueba de fatiga para evitar prdidas por difusin.
Para determinar si el hidrgeno irreversible puede propiciar el agrietamiento
asistido por el hidrgeno, se cargaran probetas con hidrgeno y posteriormente se
trataran trmicamente para extraer el hidrgeno difusional, y se realizaran las
pruebas de crecimiento de grietas.
Mediante las tcnicas de Coloracin en Plata y Microscopia Electrnica de Barrido
se determinara la distribucin de hidrgeno y sitios preferenciales de difusin en
todos los experimentos anteriores.
