The Gaza Strip Food Crisis

There has been a conflict between Israel and Palestine for more than 16 years,

killing 2,102 and injuring more than 10,540 civilians and destroying cities of palestine

into pieces. The war has caused many horrible things like the ongoing conflict between

the two countries, causing people to escape their countries, cutting off the food source

of the people. Since 2014 the war has gotten much worse and has led to what is now

called the Gaza strip food crisis.

After WW2 6 million Jews were killed and the rest of the Jewish community decide that

they wanted a country of their own. They were given a large part of Palestine to live in

which later became to what is now known as Israel. Israel was originally Palestine and

then it was just snatched from them and Palestinians and had no choice to let the jews

in, it was forced by the United states, France and Great Britain. The conflict really

started in 1987 when the Jews began to ask for more land from the Arabs and the

Arabs refused to give it up to the Jews so it started a war which killed about 1,980.

About 15 years later Israel began to modernise their cities, their relationship with other

countries, and they began to heavily modernise their military technology.

Israel has grown a very strong relationship with United states throughout these times of

war. One of the reasons that Israel has been bombing Gaza is because a terrorist

organization by the name of Hamas has been sending rockets out of Gaza to Israel.

The Israelis are just trying to kill the terrorist but they are using very deadly force that

usually ends up killing innocent civilians.

Since 2014, the conflict has became so much worse. It has killed many civilians and

destroyed many parts of Gaza. Many of the Palestinians have escaped their country

because of this conflict. Gaza has become a war zone and ghost town that will take

years and billions to get back on their feet. Before 2014 Israel and Palestine were a lot

calmer with each other and didn't have as many conflicts but since Hamas began

sending rockets to Israel it has gotten a lot worse. Hamas has been using hospitals and

Mosques as bases which makes it hard for Israel to attack Hamas and when they do

they end up killing many civilians.

According to an article by AL Jazeera Israeli bombings in Gaza have destroyed

much of the local infrastructure, including water and electricity supplies. At

least 360 factories and workshops have also been damaged in the shelling,

including 126 which were completely wrecked, amounting to $47m in

damages.. If that is the point then it will take years and millions for the people of Gaza

to get back on their feet. Many of the ways that the people of Gaza get their food have

all been shut down or destroyed. If you find a way to get some kind of food it will cost

you a lot to even get it, it is even harder to buy food when your job has been destroyed

in a bombing. 27 percent of the population in Palestine are in food insecurity and 42

percent of the population is unemployed.

This conflict has caused many problems that will take years and years to get better.

Right now it's hard to say that Palestine and Israel have a bright future ahead of them

because with the incidents that have happened since 2014 there is none. Both countries

have been at fault during this conflict and both have to find a way to resolve them

because if not there will be a lot more bloodshed.
