Madison County Highway Department: Seasonal Labor

FLSA status: Non-exempt
Job Status: Seasonal (April to September)
Hours: 6:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. M-Th

Job Duties:

Maintains and repairs roads, right-of-ways, berms, culverts, guard rails an signs in the County.
Replaces and repairs culvert, road, and ditch pipes and tiles, as assigned
Removes debris from County right-of-ways.
Trims and clears trees, and brush from County roads and right-of-way.
Flags traffic at road construction sites.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of safety procedures for working in or around heavy equipment and/or working around
traffic.
