SCRIPT FOR THE NURSES WEEK EVENT

I. INTRODUCTION:
KJ: A profession that simply emanates from care but now
nurses were capable within, ensuring competence and
continuously perfecting the art and sciences of caring.

NICO: Nurses dont wait until October to celebrate, Make a


Difference Day- we make the difference every day. And today,
we will pay homage to our profession as we celebrate the
international Nurses Week.

KJ: Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen! I am Kristine Joy


Ramos
NICO: And I am Angelo Nico Albano IV
BOTH: Welcome to Karmelli Clinic and Hospital Nursing
Service Division, International Nurses Day Celebration, with
the theme, NURSES: A VOICE TO LEAD, ACHIEVING THE
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

I. INVOCATION
KJ:. Before we start this program, Let us all rise and give back
the honor and glory to him to be lead by Ms. Janelle Mae Isla,
our nurse trainee batch 8.
II. PATRIOTISM
NICO: May we remain standing for the Philippine National
Anthem to be lead by Ms. Genesis Puruganan, OR-DR staff
nurse

III. PEACH RIBBON CEREMONY/ FLORENCE


NIGHTINGALE PLEDGE/ NURSES HYMN.
KJ: passion immortalityUndeniable purity and dignity
Mothering role...All these in one represented by a simple yet
meaningful pieceThe PEACH RIBBON.
NICO: After pinning of the ribbon, let us heartfully enunciate
the Florence Nightingale Pledge then harmoniously sing our
Nurses HymnMs. Kristal Guillermo, CNU staff Nurse in-
charge

IV. OPENING REMARKS


NICO: save one life, youre a hero, save a hundred lives,
youre a nurse.. They are strong, yet they are compassionate.
They often walk with determination yet they have the gentlest of
touch. They are educators willing to teach and share their
knowledge. They are Good listeners and always seem to be there
when you need them. Yes, they are called Nurses.
KJ: We may be differently distinguished by our institution, but
we came here as one, as we celebrate our beloved profession.
And now, to formally open the program, Mr. Alden Acido, ACU
Staff nurse and event chair of the program will now deliver his
opening remarks.

V. PRESENTATION OF OBJECTIVES OF THE EVENT


KJ: Nurses dispense comfort, passion and caring even without
prescription. Today were unified with one goal- to give health
care in its utmost state and to learn new things,
At this point, May we call on Ms. Beatriz Dy, CNU staff Nurse,
to present the objectives of todays event.

VI. INTRODUCTION OF THE GUEST SPEAKER

NICO: Today we were privileged to be granted by a person with


astonishing personality.a breathing gem.

KJ:Lets get to know her more as Ms. Noreen Mae, Agtarap,


ACU Staff Nurse/ Nurse Training Officer does the honor.
VII. KEYNOTE SPEECH...After the message...
NICO: She is indeed a gem...so precious of its kind. Thank you
so much Mam Lerizza for the indisputable sparks of wisdom
you bestowed to us. Were sure that a lot have been learned from
your discussion. For any questions and/ or clarifications, kindly
bring it out for this is now the open forum.
VIII. OPEN FORUM
For those who are shy to come up in front, you can pass your
questions through a paper and well read it for you.

IX. INTERMISSION NUMBER


KJ:How are you guys? Are you still overwhelmed? Well its
time for you to be entertained. At this point, may we call on Mr.
Kevin Saguid, OR-DR Head Nurse, to serenade us. Please sit
back and enjoy the song.

X. AWARDING OF CERTIFICATES TO SPEAKER/


ATTENDEES.

KJ: And now the awarding of the certificate to guest of honor


and speaker, may we call on our chief nursing officer Mr. Jurgen
Rushell Rapacon together with the supervisors to hand in the
certificate.
NICO: Let me read to you the citation.
(Certificate of attendance will be distributed later on.)

XI. MESSAGE/ SYNTHESIS


NICO: We were surely equipped and contented of what our
keynote speaker bestowed to us. In every endeavor we take, we
made it successfully because of the immense love and support
we received from this man. Let us then welcome our untiring
Chief Nursing Officer, Mr. Jurgen Rushell Rapacon, RN, MAN,
CHA to give his message and to recapulate it all.

XII. INTERMISSION NUMBER


KJ: Nurses were not only bestowed with the magic hand to care
but they too possess golden voices that can delight our mind and
soul. Let us then call Ms. Ge Ann Myca Palalay, CNU Staff
Nurse, to serenade us.

NICO: It really feels great Mam Kristine to know that we
nurses are not only inclined with excellent nursing skills but are
also imbued with outstanding talents. That is quite a total
package! Again, a round of a plause to Ms. Ge Ann.
XIII. 1ST NURSING STAFF AWARDEE
KJ: nurses are the compassionate wheels. They are a necessary
component of any functional hospital. They are the care givers
that glue the hospital together, and they are the heart of every
hospital. Today its just right to acknowledge the selfless
dedication of all nurses all over the world, and to award those
nurses who demonstrate excellence , may I now call on our
Chief Nursing Officer, Mr. Jurgen Rushell Rapacon, RN, MAN,
CHA to present the awardees.

XIV. MESSAGE FROM KCH ADMINISTRATORS.
NICO: May we hear an inspiring message from our hospital
administrators.

XV. CLOSING REMARKS


KJ This event is indeed a success. No amount of words can be
said to equate the overwhelmed feelings we have. Ms Marcom
Denise Bugaoisan, CNU Staff Nurse will now give his closing
remarks.
