ATC 001-1 Overview

This document will cover Battlefield (XB1/PS4/PC) brigades Advanced Training Course
(ATC) Number 001, which relates to proficiency testing in the following areas:

Rifle Weapons This includes all Assault Rifles (ARs) and Heavy Machine Guns
(HMGs). For purposes of testing and evaluation during this Tactical Warfare,
Battlefield (XB1/PS4/PC) brigade, Advanced Training Course any of the following
weapons are acceptable.

Rifles
Cei Rigotti Factory
Selbstadler 1916 Factory

Sniper Weapons Long range, anti-personnel rifles with telescopic sight. For
purposes of testing and evaluation during this Tactical Warfare, Battlefield
(XB1/PS4/PC) brigade, Advanced Training Course any of the following weapons are
acceptable.

Sniper Rifles
SMLE Mk III Infantry
Gewehr 98 Sniper

ATC 001-2 Requirements and Grades

Requirements of Proficiency Testing

All proficiency testing should encompass the following features:

Testing must have Repeatability and Reproducibility. Repeatability means there is


no variation in score when one instructor measures the same testing results
multiple times; Reproducibility means there is no variation when two or more
instructors measure the same testing results. In other words, our measurement
system must be so precise that we always get the same score based solely on
results (such as % hits on target, etc), regardless of who administers the test.

Testing must have Variation; Variation means the testing must cover multiple
conditions, stances, moving vs. stationary targets, terrain, etc.

Testing must have Consistency; Self explanatory - tests should be similar amongst
all weapon classes, while still being unique and independent.

Testing must have Relevance; Relevance means each class test must accurately
represent the skills needed for that weapon class - - in other words, if you're

testing an automatic rifleman (gunner), shooting a group of targets at a set


distance away would be pointless; shooting a moving group of targets 50 yards
ahead with x number of rounds in x time would be more appropriate.

Grades or Proficiency Level:

The following are the grades, or proficiency level, and the corresponding minimum
requirements needed to earn them:

Marksman the Marksman badge can be earned by achieving a score


ranging from 50% to 74% during the Advanced Training Course or by obtaining
the minimum specifically designated combination of in-game awards/trophies.

Sharpshooter the Sharpshooter badge can be earned by achieving a score


ranging from 75% to 89% during the Advanced Training Course or by obtaining
the minimum specifically designated combination of in-game awards/trophies.

Expert the Expert badge can be earned by achieving a score ranging from
90% or above during the Advanced Training Course or by obtaining the minimum
specifically designated combination of in-game awards/trophies.

ATC 001-3 Rifle Weapons Testing

PHASE ONE: Maximum 50 Points

Description: Eliminate stationary and moving targets

Map: Fao Fortress (Conquest)

Spawn: Shoots will spawn on instructor

Shooter Position: Rear of the fortress, back side of Edward Objective, facing howitzers

Stance: Standing/moving between shooting locations

Weapon Category: Rifle

Weapon: Cei Rigotti Factory

# Ammo Rounds: 25

# of Targets: Six (6 targets)

Time Limit: 50 (50 seconds)

Target 1 Location: Circle battlement in front of the shooters positions, crouched in wall
gap. (Stationary/Crouched)

Target 2 Location: left of target 1, standing on left-hand side of pathway next to outer
wall. (Stationary/Standing)
Proceed to Fire Position 2 - Underneath Archway

Target 3 Location: In front of shooter position 2, standing on large circle battlement.


(Stationary/Standing)

Target 4 Location: Crouched next to Freddie flag pole (Stationary/Crouched) Proceed to


Fire Position 3 Top of Stairs at Freddie Flag

Target 5 Location: Moving between howitzers on the outer wall. (Standing/Strafing side-
to-side)
Proceed to Fire Position 4 Behind Sandbags Next to AA Gun

Target 6 Location: In front of firing position 4, standing on battlements between


barricades on far left side. (Stationary/Standing)

Instructions: Shooter, you will spawn on the instructor. Your time will begin once you
reach the first firing position. Once you have eliminated the first two targets you will proceed
to the second firing position, then to the third and fourth. Once all targets have been
eliminated or once you say you have finished, this is in case you chose to skip a target.

ATC instructor will record time elapsed and rounds fired for scoring purposes. Once again,
your time will begin once you reach the first firing position and time will end once all targets
have been eliminated or you say that you are finished (should you chose to skip a target).

Scoring: Shooter starts with 50pts. Points will be deducted for exceeding time limit,
exceeding amount of rounds per target, failing to kill a target, using an improper weapon.

Penalty Deduction: The following are Point deductions:


1. Time Exceeded = -2 points per every 1 Seconds
2. Shots = -5 points per additional clip on single target
3. Hitting Non-Designated Target = -10 points per Target
4. Targets Remaining = -10 points per every target not killed
5. Use of unapproved weapon (i.e.: grenade)= -10 points

Speech to Shooter: At this time I will ask you a series of questions to verify that you
understand the rules of this test.
- Q: Do you understand target locations and where to fire from?
- A: Yes - Continue No - Re-teach Locations and Shooter positions.
- Q: Do you understand eliminating targets is the only way to count target as a kill?
- A: Yes - Continue No - Re-teach Scoring
- Q: Do you understand that you have 50secs to complete this event and for every second
exceeded you will lose two points?
- A: Yes - Continue No - Re-teach task as needed
- Q: Do you understand that once you engage a target you must eliminate without
reloading?
- A: Yes Continue NO Re-Teach task and scoring penalty.

Your time will begin once you reach the first firing position and time will end once all targets
have been eliminated or you say that you are finished (should you chose to skip a target)

Instructions: ATC Instructor will instruct tester that upon spawning time will begin. ATC
Instructor will record time elapsed per tester, targets killed and/or hit per tester, as well as
record points awarded for this phase.

ATC 001-3 Rifle Weapons Testing

PHASE TWO: Maximum 50 Points

Description: Eliminate stationary/moving targets

Map: Empires Edge (Conquest)

Spawn: Shooters will spawn on instructor

Shooter Position: End of bridge leading from Edward flag

Stance: Standing

Weapon Category: Rifle

Weapon: Selbstadler 1916 Factory

# Ammo Rounds: 25 (25 bullets)

# of Targets: Six (6 targets)

Time Limit: 50 (50 seconds)

Target 1 Location: Crouched on a rock, right of shooters position next to a V shaped tree
(Stationary/Crouched)
Proceed to Fire Position 2 Left side of Rocks on Trail

Target 2 Location: Prone on rock behind fern tree (Stationary/Prone)


Proceed to Fire Position 3 Along Left Side Trail Next to a Fern Tree

Target 3 Location: Moving side-to-side between a gap in the wall behind the rearmost
tower of Castello Alto (Standing/Strafing side-to-side)
Proceed to Fire Position 4 Break in the Wall to Castello Alto

Target 4 Location: Left of the broken wall in inside Castello Alto, behind Wex sentry
spawn. (Stationary/Prone)
Proceed to Fire Position 5 Past Flag Duff before the Gap in Inner Wall

Target 5 Location: Second floor of tower, right hand side of bridge, standing in the
window (Stationary/Standing)
Proceed to Fire Position 6 next to broken wall before the two towers

Target 6 Location: Strafing side-to-side between the two towers at the bridge
(Standing/Strafing side-to-side)

Instructions: Shooter, you will spawn on the instructor. Your time will begin once you
reach the first firing position. Once you have eliminated the first two targets you will proceed
to the second firing position, then to the third and fourth. Once all targets have been

ATC 001-4 Sniper Weapons Testing

PHASE ONE: Maximum 50 Points

Description: Eliminate stationary/moving targets

Map: Amiens (Conquest)

Spawn: Shooter will spawn on instructor

Shooter Position: First floor of Enseignes sur Calicot building, right side window,
West of D flag

Stance: Standing

Weapon Category: Sniper

Weapon: SMLE Mk III Infantry

# Ammo Rounds: 8 (8 bullets)

# of Targets: Six (6 targets)

Time Limit: 30 (30 seconds)

Target 1 Location: First floor of building next to West Bridge. Left window.
(Stationary/Standing)

Target 2 Location: Doorway of destroyed building, far right of shooter location.


(Stationary/Crouched)

Target 3 Location: First floor of building at the far end of the street opposite shooter
position far left window. (Stationary/Standing)

Target 4 Location: Bottom right corner of West Bridge next to the train tracks.
(Stationary/Prone)

Target 5 Location: Running back and forth between nearest end of the tram and the
bottom floor of the far building. (Moving/Running)

Target 6 Location: First floor of corner building on the opposite side of West bridge,
center window of corner angle. (Standing/Stationary)

Instructions: Shooter, you will spawn on the instructor. Your time will begin upon the order
of the instructor. Your time will end once all targets have been eliminated, or once you
declare you have finished.

ATC instructor will record time elapsed and rounds fired for scoring purposes. Once again,
your time will begin upon the instructors order and your time will end once all targets have
been eliminated or you say that you are finished (should you chose to skip a target)

Scoring: Shooter starts with 50pts. Points will be deducted for exceeding time limit,
exceeding amount of rounds per target, failing to kill a target, using an improper weapon.

ATC 001-4 Sniper Weapons Testing

PHASE TWO: Maximum 50 Points

Description: Eliminate stationary/moving targets

Map: Empires Edge (Conquest)

Spawn: Shooter will spawn on instructor

Shooter Position: Highest point of the North hills

Stance: Prone

Weapon Category: Sniper

Weapon: Gewehr 98 Sniper

# Ammo Rounds: 10 (10 bullets)

# of Targets: Six (6 targets)

Time Limit: 50 (50 seconds)

Target 1 Location: Top floor of left tower at Castello Gate (Stationary/Standing)

Target 2 Location: Running along the road next to Villa Marconi between the T junction
at the top and end of the wall. (Moving/Running)

Target 3 Location: Furthest most building behind Villa Falconi nearest to the coastline,
first floor window on the left. (Stationary/Standing)

Target 4 Location: At the rear of Castello Alto, crouched to the right of the broken wall
with the broken tower in the fore ground (Stationary/Crouched)

Target 5 Location: Running between the archway in front of Villa Falconi to the corner
edge of wall moving towards Castello Gate (Moving/Running)

Target 6 Location: On rock directly below the rightmost broken tower of Castello Alto
(Stationary/Prone

Instructions: Shooter, you will spawn on the instructor. Your time will begin upon the order
of the instructor. Your time will end once all targets have been eliminated, or once you
