ATMOSPHERE on planets are a result of when a planet has a strong enough gravitational pull to be able

to gather and contain smaller and lighter atoms (such as Hydrogen and Helium) towards the planet
without them floating away. A big factor why the earth was able to develop and maintain an
atmosphere is because of the distance between the earth and the sun. On the other hand, BIOSPHERE
is the global ecological system integrating all living beings and their relationships, including their
interaction with the elements of the lithosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere. As a MAD
student, we should encourage everyone to paint or draw for a cause to take good care of our
atmosphere and biosphere to preserve our earths sub systems using any kind of medium.

For me, there are three examples on how you can care for atmosphere and biosphere:

1. Reduce - The truth is that we create LOTS of trash. Just think about how much stuff you bring
home from the grocery store that ends up in the trash can, and Im not even talking about the
food itself, just the packaging. The average American produces approximately 4.4 pounds of
trash per day. Consider how you can reduce the amount of garbage you create.
2. Recycle - This is one of the simplest ways to reduce the amount of trash we create. Not only
does this reduce the need to use up limited natural resources, it can also save energy. I heard
recently that it takes approximately 96% less energy to create an aluminum can from recycled
material than it does to create a brand new one. Use those bins.
3. Replant - This step is about replentishing the resources which have been depleted over the
years. It may not be as extreme in some areas, but there are many underdeveloped nations
with severe deforestation issues (which creates other problems too). So dont simply stop they
cycle, lets reverse it too.
