g" oPTlcoN' A slim, shallow luminous form, the 9" Opticon is a
design-coordinated counterpart of the 14" Opticon,
designed to offer high performance and economy
for school, office, store and hospital applications.
A one-piece, injection-molded, frameless refractor
provides eff icient general illumination with prismatic
brightness control. Refractor opens from either side
without tools, remains safely suspended on con-
cealed hinges during relamping.
Clear, debossed refractor bottom has sharply
molded prisms to assure uniform low surface bright-
ness and maximum structural strength. Sides have
horizontal exterior prisms and vertical interior prisms
to minimize brightness contrast between fixture and
adjacent ceiling. Ends are luminous.
Rib-embossed end plates inti:rlock precisely in
continuous runs, assure true alignment, eliminaie
dark joiner straps. Unit is completely enclosed and
refractor is destaticized to prevent dust accumu-
Iation.

Optiplex offers a shallow, fully luminous diffuser
MODULAR OPTIPLEX /OPTIPLEX that extends below the housing to provide an even
distribution of diffused illumination through the sides,
ends and bottom. Sidelighting minimizes brightness
contrasts between fixture and adjacent ceiling.
Downlighiing is soft and uniform.
Frameless one-piece diffuser of vacuum-formed
virgin acrylic permanently retains its dimensions and
pure white color. Concealed spring hinges permit
diffuser to snap out with fingertip pressure and
swing down for easy relamping without use of tools.
Die-formed steel chassis is cleanly detailed with
precise corners that align perfectly when units are
mounted in continuous runs. No extraneous hardware.
Modular Optiplex is available in 4 sizes for mount-
ing singly, end-to-end or side-to-side; and with op-
tional genuine walnut f rame for distinctive treatment
of selected areas. Optiplex is available in 3 sizes
for mounting singly or end-to-end.
SPECIFICATION FEATURES

LOUVRON A ruggedly built fixture that provides direct-indi-
rect illumination with positive cut-off (45o x 35o) and
low brightness sideiighting, Louvron is especially
adaptable for use in schools, offices, banks, stores
and institutional applications.
Unbreakable side panels are of Perfalux--an ex-
clusrve material that combines the translucency of
plastic with the structural qualities of perforated
steel, creating thousands of tiny lenses which diffuse
the light and create uniform luminosity. Smooth
surface texture of Perfalux prevents dust accumula-
tion, minimizing maintenance.
Louver blades, pressure-locked to the louvers to
prevent rattling and maintain rigidjty, provide visual
cut-off to light source. Louvers, supported by spring-
lock fasteners when fixture is closed, are suspended
on steel safety chains durlng relamping.
Shallow chassis, ends and sides, are precisely
fitted to each other, providing a level top that fits
neatly against the ceiling across the entire width of
the fixiure.
Top reflectors are available for conversion to use
as a downlighting fixture only.
SPECIFICATION FEATURES
Side Panels (l) are perforated steel with baked white enamel
finish, overcoated with clear, high-temperature plastic; re-
movable without tools. Louver Blades (2) are pressure-locked
to V-shaped louver channel to prevent rattling, provide maxi-
mum rigidity. Louver (3) is supported by spring-lock fasten-
ers when closed; suspended on safety chains during relamp-
ing. Bal/asts: Rapid Start HPF, internally-fused, ETL certified.
