Child: Child B
Age: 3 years and 11 months
Family information
He is the youngest of two children. He has a sister, Joyce age 5 who use to be in the setting.
His father is Malaysian and his mother is Chinese.
Home language is Mandarin but as per Child Bs dad, he does not want to speak it.
Both parents are in the education field, his father Doctor Chyi Lin Lee, has a PhD from University of Melbourne. Dr. Chyi Lin is the Academic Advisor for
(Economic, Finance and Property) in Western Sydney University.
In the family, Child Bs grandparents live with them and can only speak Mandarin
Significant Information from Analysis of Observations
Child Bs favourite activity in the setting is to pretend play good vs. bad (Transformers vs the bad guys, Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles vs bad guys, Cops and Thieves). He
enjoys the company of Ethan and exclusively play with him when Ethan is in the setting. He is very good with puzzles and can count up to 100. He is beginning to
understand the concept of addition. He knows 1+1 =2 , 2+2 = 4, 3+3 = 6, 4+4 = 8 and 5+5 = 10. When asked if he can add 6+6, he said I dont know.
