SIS Web and Network SIS: A Unique user name for each user permits
accessing the saved parts list from multiple computers. The saved parts lists
are viewable only to the user name that created the saved parts list.
Only One Parts List per user name can be open at any time.
The Saved Parts List is visible only to the username used to create the list and
is not a physical file that can be copied, moved or attached to an email. Select
Open Parts List to access a saved list.
Downloading a Parts List creates a file that can be attached to email or stored
on any accessible drive. The downloaded parts list can be imported into any
version of SIS 2004B or later. Select Import Parts List to access the
downloaded file.

A parts list for 9pz was created and is the current parts list. It
is necessary to start a second parts list for customer 2 with a
prefix of BFE. The parts needed for customer 2 are in the
203-5281, Access Door Group
Note: When opening a saved parts list, go to the main menu and enter
the Product Id of the opened parts list in order to search and add
additional parts to the list - demonstrated later.

A parts list for 9pz is active. The parts are selected for the
BFE 325C excavator and Add to Parts List is selected.

Scenario: Waiting on information for


Customer 1 list. Customer 2 list is started.
When a different product ID is entered at the SIS main menu and
parts are added to the parts list, a prompt that asks the user if they
want to save or discard the current parts list will be displayed.
Save the list so it can be opened and completed later. (incomplete
customer 1 parts list will be saved). See the next page for more
information on Save or Download a Part List.
This example will use Save Parts List for working with multiple
parts lists.

This is a save operation and does not create a file or allow


another SIS user name to access this list. The save list is
available only to the user logged in and creating the file. If
you must have a physical file, select Cancel and use
download parts list instead.
Name the Parts List appropriately. The Product ID prefix
was 9pz.
Customer 2 Parts List

The list for customer 2 has parts added to the parts list but the list cannot be
completed and a third parts list must be started. The SIS user goes to the main
menu and enters 6NM in the product ID, then navigates to the Parts
Identification page and adds parts to the third parts list. The user is prompted
to save the second parts list before the third list is displayed.

Customer 3 Identification page, user adds parts to the parts list in order
to start the third parts list. The user is prompted to save the second
parts list first before the third list is displayed.
Customer 2 Parts List Saved

Save customer 2 parts list and then view customer 3 parts list.
Customer 3 Parts List Save -

The parts list for customer 3 is created and displayed above. The
information for the first customer becomes available and the first parts
list needs to be completed. Select Open Parts List from the File menu
and select Save if the parts list has not been saved. Enter the customer
3 name and product ID and Save the customer 3 list.
Open Customer 1 Parts List

Select the cust 1 9pz parts list. The parts list will be displayed.
Return to Customer 1 Parts List

Notice the product ID for the parts list is 9PZ and the Model is a 120H
with a 6NM prefix. The SIS user must go to the main menu and enter
9PZ in the Product ID window to be able to search for and add parts to
this 9PZ product or customer 1 parts list..

parts, use product structure,
document Structure, basic search
etc.
Use any SIS search method to add additional parts to the customer 1
parts list. The model will change to a 365 B Excavator with a 9PZ
prefix after the search method is selected. It may be necessary to select
the appropriate product configuration for the 365B. The example
above uses Part Number Search.
Add to Customer 1 Parts List

Select the parts to be added to the 9pz customer 1 parts list and select
Add to Parts List.

The parts are added to the parts list. Customer 1 parts list is
complete and the parts can be integrated if desired. Go to
DBS and set up DBS to receive the parts list. Continue
processing the remaining parts lists until complete.
