Thats my question to you - Who is He? Who is Jesus?
Yes, Im aware of what the crowds say, I know
what the world says, but thats not my question. Who is Jesus? Freemasonry reduces Him to be just a good man and enlightened Teacher. Islam limits Him to being a righteous man and an important prophet. In many religions around the world, Hes known as the Great Healer - One who could do mira- cles amazing the crowds. Still others note that Hes a great Theologian skillfully and accurately teach people things about God that they had never heard before. Still others know Him to be a man who genu- inely cared for people, the Good Shepherd, who fed them and took care of their needs. Yet others scoff at and mock Him as rejected of God - a leader without followers. Still many today, make a version of him that looks like Santa Claus. But Jesus wont overlook sin or grade on a curve. The real Jesus isnt anything like what the world portrays Him to be. So, Who is He? He said: I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life - no one comes to the Father, but by and through Me. (Jn.14:6) Thats a bold statement. He is not lying, He is not crazy - He is the Great I AM. He is the Messiah - the One prophesied to come in Genesis 3. He is the Deliver that Moses spoke of to the children of Israel in the wilderness (Deut.18:15). Jesus is the suffering Messiah whom Daniel and Isaiah spoke of (Dan.9:26; Is.53). He is the sacrificial Lamb of God who takes away the sins of all who believe on and commit to follow Him (Jn.1:12-13,29). He is the risen One who crushed Satans head (Gen.3:15), conquered sin and death (Ro.8:1-2), and sits at the right hand of the Father (Eph.1:20-21). His Name is King of Kings and Lord of Lords (1Tim.6:14- 15). He is 100% God (Jn.1:14) and He is the Creator of all things (Col. 1:16), and because He did create all things, He will also one day judge all of us by our deeds (2Cor.5:10; Rev.20:12-15). Many will hear Him say fearful words to them: I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice rebellion, law- lessess! (Mt.7:21-23) Will you be one of them? You dont have to be. Mistakes will not keep anyone out of Heaven, but unwillingness to repent and turn from intentional rebellion will keep many out of Heaven. While you still have time, confess your rebellion to Him, ask His forgiveness, and ask Him to teach you how to give Him your whole life, growing in serving and following Him.
