The road not taken El camino no escogido

Robert Frost Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, Dos caminos se abran en un bosque amarillo,
And sorry I could not travel both Y apenado por no poder tomar los dos
And be one traveler, long I stood Siendo un viajero solo, largo tiempo estuve en pie
And looked down one as far as I could Mirando uno de ellos tan lejos como pude
To where it bent in the undergrowth; Hasta donde se perda en la espesura;

Then took the other, as just as fair, Entonces tom el otro, que pareca igual de bueno,
And having perhaps the better claim, Y ofreca quizs las mejores razones,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Pues era tupido y no estaba desgastado;
Though as for that the passing there Aunque a este respecto, el trnsito
Had worn them really about the same, Los haba consumido a ambos por igual.

And both that morning equally lay Y ambos esa maana yacan igualmente,
In leaves no step had trodden black. En hojas que ninguna pisada haba hollado negras
Oh, I kept the first for another day! Oh, reserv el primero para otro da!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way, Aun sabiendo cmo los caminos se siguen birfurcando,
I doubted if I should ever come back. Dud si deba haber regresado sobre mis pasos.

I shall be telling this with a sigh Algn da contar esto con un suspiro,
Somewhere ages and ages hence: En algn lugar, transcurridos muchos aos:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- Dos caminos se abran en un bosque y yo,
I took the one less traveled by, Yo tom el menos transitado,
And that has made all the difference. Y eso marc toda la diferencia.
