CHOLERADISEASE
What is cholera disease?
Cholera is an infections and often fatal bacterial disease of the small intestine, typically
contracted from infected water supplies and causing severe vomiting and diarrhea.

Cholera is bacterial and the name of the bacteria is called Vibrio cholerae.

WHATCHOLERADOES
The symptoms of cholera is often mild or even with out symptoms, but can
be sometimes an be severe. If not treated quickly and/or correctly it can lead
to death. The person may experience watery diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration,
and leg cramps. If not treated quickly the person may have rapid loss of body
f luids that leads to dehydration an shock.
People who live in environments the has poor sanitation is where its
mostly found. In brackish rivers and coastal waters are places that may also
may have cholera, shellfish that eaten raw have cholera. People in the United
States and in the regions of the Gulf of Mexico have also been contracted of
cholera after eaten raw shellfish.

CHOLERA
A doctor will know if a person has cholera by using a stool sample or a
rectal swab. The doctor may give you a treatment that replaces the f luid and
the salts and sometimes antibiotics.
The treatments for cholera is re-hydration therapy, doctors try to get rid of
the salts in your body by drinking lots of water, antibiotic treatment is where
doctors reduces f luid, requirements ad duration of illness, and it's indicated
for severe cases of cholera.
What can be done to prevent it is to drink only bottled, boiled, or
chemically treated water. To disinfect water by boiling it for a minute and two
drops of household bleach. Always wash your hand especially when you
finished using the bathroom, and eat foods that are freshly cooked and
severed hot.
