RE: Natalie Leung

To: Whom it may concern,

This letter confirms Natalie Leung active participation in the Ryerson Tri-Mentoring Program.

Aiming to support the unique needs and increase retention of first-year university students, the
Tri-Mentoring Program pairs first year student Mentees with upper-year volunteer student
Mentors, who provide guidance, mentoring and orientation throughout the year of transition.

Natalie Leung participated as a Peer Mentor from September 2014 and is registered to participate
again for the 2016-2017 school-year. Through her participation, Natalie plays an instrumental
role in her Mentees successful integration into Ryersons academic and cultural life. She
provides friendly support, important information and referrals, which is vital for her Mentees
academic persistence, social integration, and extracurricular involvement in the university.

Natalies role is to act as a teacher, guide, advisor, trusted friend, coach and confidant. She has
demonstrated excellent leadership skills and tremendous contribution to the success of our first-
year student Mentees. Some of these skills include effective and engaging communication, self-
confidence, organization and time management, building trusting relationships, confidentiality
and inspiring others.
Natalie is an asset to the Ryerson Tri-Mentoring Program and it is with great pleasure that I write
this letter to support her future endeavors.
