 In this connection I submit that initially the estimates were prepared & got it approved from
the competent authority with the available/communicated structural/ architectural drawings in the
steps allotted in low lying / pond areas mostly. Based on the approved estimates tender were called
for and entrusted the works to the contractors.

Before grounding of the work, soil investigation had been carried out against in Bapatla
Engineering College, Bapatla. Based on SBC report, allowable bearing pressure of soil will be
treated as 7.50 T/m2 to the construction of MPCS. In view of low bearing pressure of soil, the
engineering college has recommended stone aggregates 50% HBG Chips & 50% 2.36mm below
(stone dust) to a depth of 0.30mts, followed by foundation concrete in the entire building area.

In the ref 6th & 7th cited the Engineer in Chief, PR Hyderabad has communicated the
structural drawings of the building for SBC 7.50t/m2 and the same have been adopted in execution
of work. It is being noticed that there is an abnormal increase in quantities of concrete and steel in
all floors especially in foundations.

In addition to it, the site allotted the Grama Panchayat for the construction of MPCS fall in
low lying/pond areas which leads enhanced filling of foundations followed by site levelling and cost
of compound wall. Further the basement level of the building had been fixed based on surge level
and on par with residential buildings available besides MPCS building and as per the instructions
issued by the project manager SPIU, NCRMP, Hyderabad Lr.No.00497/DMVS
PIN/DEE2/NCRMP/2012 Dt.12.07.2013. As per architectural drawings communicated filling of the
site is to be taken up to 1.20m from plinth level of the building.

In the original estimate Sal wood Doors & windows were proposed. The building was taken
up in sea coast area. Air contains wetness which leads early failure of doors and windows frames
including shutters due to bulging. In order to over cum the problem prepainted steel fabricated doors
& windows are proposed. The Prepainted Steel fabricated ventilators of different sizes 0.60x0.60 ,
0.90x0.90mts & 0.90x0.30mts have been provided as per the architectural drawing communicated
and on par with buildings already executed and NCRMP Phase I & II, which is missing the
original estimate.
In the original estimate, compound wall was sanctioned with open foundation with brick
masonry. Due to raise in site level based on surge/near by building basements, it being observed that
isolated footings followed by brick masonry is more advantage. Accordingly compound wall
estimate has been modified to the entire site handed over Grama Panchayat on par with building
with completed under Phase I in order to prevent possible encroachment. CC road is proposed from
the nearest GP/PR/R&B road to entrance ramp/steps of the building.

As per agreement condition, different cost in cement for design mix of concrete M30, M20
& M15 are also incorporated in the revised estimate. In view of the all factors, the original estimated
costs were revised as noted against each work.
