Gregorios inventions and discoveries has affected the many aspects of future technology today.
Even before his famous invention of the two-way videophone, he was a already a remarkable scientist
because of his previous contributions. For example, before the invention of the videophone, he first
invented an airplane that was able to run on just plain alcohol as fuel, this invention inadvertently
sparked the idea of his invention: the videophone. (Bells, 2016) This invention had impacted the future
of video communication and inspired the idea of the now popular Skype and Facetime. Although the
videophone was one of Gregorios last invention, he still tried to pass on his legacy by writing numerous
papers and textbook (some were even written in French) about science and physics (Today in Philippine
History, March 8, 1902 Gregorio Y. Zara was born in Lipa City, Batangas, 2012). Although his science
helped impact future inventions, innovations and discoveries, he also indirectly inspired me.
Gregorios inventions and discoveries had impacted my aspirations to work in my dream career,
which is to become a coder in Google. His invention of the two-way videophone in a way inspired me to
pursue a career in computer engineering and/or computer coding. Not only did his inventions inspire
me, but also his awards and achievements also played a huge apart in my future aspirations because its
proved to me that anyone, no matter what race they are and what country theyre from, can achieve
something so big that it impacts the future of technology. Even after Gregorios prime of being an
inventor, he still somewhat inspired me because of the textbooks and papers he had written and his
instruction of aeronautics has sparked an idea to me that I, myself can mentor/inspire younger
generations, just like how Gregorio did to me. Although the images in my art piece may seem very
straightforward, they actually provide a deeper meaning in which it directly connects to himself.
Every art piece hold a message, it just depends on how you perceive it. In this paragraph, I will
be telling you how I interpreted each image on my art piece. The two-way videophone contains the
most basic meaning on my art piece, it really represents his most famous and biggest invention that he
created for the world to have, it also represents the achievements that I could possibly make in the
future just like how he did. The MIT logo represent his biggest education and degree in science and how
this degree helped him achieve his dreams of becoming an inventor and the eventual invention of the
videophone, this also connects to me because these are one of my choices of education to achieve my
dream career. The emblem of the the Philippines represents his home country and that this does not
depend on the education he can get and what he can accomplish and that this was the foundation that
eventually led up to his discovery and inventions. Gregorio Y Zara was a remarkable scientist and
inventor, he not only inspired me, but he inspired the world with his inventions. My art piece wasnt to
