Objective: In order to re-trace the functions of all instruments related to Auxilliary system of

Compressor, 'Wet'Demonstration test of the system is carried-out in order to confirm all necessary
communication link is working as per design and as per logic diagram.
This is to ensure also that all bypass items are confirm removed or remain as required in the test.

Lube Oil System Function Test Procedure for 50 KA-23-01A/B/C


In this test, the purging sequence of Recompressor are not initiated. Only "end of pressurizing
sequence are required to start the Auxilliary system by giving a "force" value from DCS and this is
send to UCP.

Step-1 Line up L/O System & Seal Gas System Vendor JGC OO

To be - Line up L/O system as per attached marked-up P&ID


completed - Line up seal gas system as per attached marked-up P&ID
halfday - Main motor MCC breaker in test mode
before L.O - From Substation-1 Lube oil pumps MCC breaker on.
function test any test jumper removed.
- From Substation-1 Lube oil heater and L.O cooler breaker on.
any test jumper removed.
- From UCP, all test jumper and terminal blocks are in normal position.
unless needed for the test condition.

Step-2 Introduce IA to Seal Gas System

- Confirm seal gas system is healthy


Secondary Buffer Supply Press. 23-PI-712/713 : 1.0Bar
N2(I.A) Buffer Gas Filter dP 23-PDI-702 : < 0.5-bar

Step-3 Start Lube oil heater

From MCC confirm electric heater is energise


From UCP, put On oil heater (XL-713).
Confirm L.O temperature TI-704 Setting : 10 C* /40 C
Reset LSL setting to make heater "On" * heater on
** heater off

Step-4 Start Main Lube Oil Pump (50-PA-23-01A)


Ask Field personnel to open rundown 1-1/2"-bypass valve
Set UCP from Man. To Auto
Select pump "A" as main pump and pump "B" as standby.
Set LO pumps to "Auto, Also set Cooler to "Auto"
From UCP Press "Ack-Reset button and also Reset UCP S/D button
From UCP,"Common trip" is clear
From DCS, ask DCS person to give "Pressurising end sequence"
in order to initiate Auxilliary system sequence start:
Standby pump "B" will run, also one(1) L.O Cooler start and then after 5 minutes timer off
Pump B stop and pump A run automatically.( If this condition not meet, repeat the
sequence by putting all control to Man mode and stop the pump and Reset UCP S/D.)
Confirm pump running condition is healthy
After 5-mins Pump B stop and Pump A run automatically
- Close 1-1/2" bypass valve of filling line to Rundown tank
Confirm instrument control system is healthy
Disch Press 23-PI-703/704 (PCV-702) : 8 +/- 0.5 barG
L/O Supply Header Press. 73-PCV-701 : 2.5 +/- 0.2 barG
L/O Supply Temp 23-TIC-702 : 35 ~ 50 C
L/O Filter Pressure Drop 23-PDA-701 : 1.5-barG
Rundown Tank Level 23-LSL-702 : > 64 %

Step-5 Standby LO Pump(50-PA-23-02B) Cut-in Test

- Gradually open PCV-702 by-pass to degrease pressure


Confirm stand-by pump cut-in @6.0-barG(23-PT-702)
and low alarm horn at DCS and UCP
Also, confirm Standby pump start if main pump stop, and vice-versa.
Close PCV Bypass valve to normalize L.O pressure
and stop pump B manually.

Step-6 Lube Oil Pressure Low Alarm & Low Low Trip Test

- Isolate 23-PT-708, then open drain valve to release pressure


Confirm alarm comes in @ 1.4-barG ( PT-708)
- Isolate 23-PT-709, then open drain valve release pressure
- Confirm trip the motor and trip signal @ 1.0-barG(PT-709)

Recompressor Mech-Run Checklist
Check

Step-1 Line-up system/Tighness check &Pressurise system with inert gas.

This activity is
done, 1-day Line-up compressor system as per marked-up P&ID
ahead. Tightness test using I.A, test pressure 4.0 BarG
Pressurise with Nitrogen and purge-out air
Pressure rise up to suction pressure of 4.0 barG

Step-2
Line-up seal gas and Lube oil system.

- Line up L.O & Seal Gas system as per attached marked-up P&ID

Step-3
Introduce IA to Seal Gas System/Motor purge Sys.

- Confirm seal gas system is healthy


- Secondry Buffer Supply Press. 23-PI-712/713 : 1.0 Bar
: 7.8 Bar
- N2 Secondary Buffer Gas Filter dP 23-PDI-70 : < 0.5-bar
'- Confirm motor purge I.A Supply is on(23-XS-744)

Step-4
Clear 50-KA-23-01A/B/C Trip Signals & Create Start Permissive

- Check trip signals


- Confirm trip signals are clear (see Trip & Start Permissive List)
- Check start permissive condition
- Confirm start permissive condition (see Trip & Start Permissive List)

Note: Auto start when


Step-5 Auto-start Main Auxiliary Sys.LO Pump, L.O Cooler sequence initiated at DCS

- Confirm pump running condition is healthy


- Confirm instrument control system is healthy
Disch Press 23-PI-703/704 : 8 BarG
L/O Supply Header Press. PI-708 : 2.5 BarG
L/O Supply Temp TI-702 : 40 C
L/O Filter Pressure Drop PdI-701 : < 1.5 BarG
Rundown Tank Level : >64%

Step-6
Start Aftercooler and put Pitch control auto mode

Confirm Aftercooler fan 50-HM-23-01A/B/C is running good


and no vibration alarm at DCS

Step-7
Start 50-KA-23-01A/BC for 2-hours Mech.run test
'- Start the machine from UCP/DCS
'- Check machine condition and aux. condition are healthy
' -Take data and record them
' -Closely monitor: Suction filter differential and discharge temperature
-Vibrations of: Motor, Gearbox, and Compressors

Step- 8 Stopping :

- Stop using local switch button or UCP,If suction filter differential pressure approaching to 1.0 BarG.
- Stop compressor if any of the vibrations and temperature approaches to high level

Remarks:

The 4-hours mech-run shall be put on trend in DCS and a printed copy shall be obtain for record keeping
as evidence of motor-solo run test.

The following parameters required for trending are: Lube oil pressure and temperature, bearing temperature
motor, gear and compressors vibrations,

- Primary Seal gas Press. : 7.8 Bar

'- Confirm motor purge I.A Supply is on(23-XS-744)

Step-3 Clear 50-KM-23-01A/B/C Trip Signals & Create Start Permissive

- Check trip signals


- Confirm trip signals are clear (see Trip & Start Permissive List)
- Check start permissive condition, Forced signal, if required.
- Confirm start permissive condition (see Trip & Start Permissive List)

Step-4 Manually Jog motor for rotation check


- From UCP, run L.O pump manually, then once motor rotate stop from Local HS-792
- Confirm rotation and wait for complete stop of motor.
Stop L.O pump, then set UCP to Auto mode and also Reset UCP S/D signal
From DCS, reset ESD/PSD, and Bypass Process condition and set timer to maximum allowed.
Send "Pressurizing Sequence" signal to UCP to to initiate Auxilliary sys. Start.

Note: Auto start when


Step-5 Auto-start Main Auxiliary Sys.LO Pump, L.O Cooler sequence initiated at DCS

- Confirm pump running condition is healthy


- Confirm instrument control system is healthy
Disch Press 23-PI-703/704 : 8 BarG
L/O Supply Header Press. PI-708 : 2.5 BarG
L/O Supply Temp TI-502 : 35 ~40 C
L/O Filter Pressure Drop PdI-701 : < 1.5 BarG
Rundown Tank Level : >400 mm

Step-6 Main motor start automatically when Rundown tank level ok.

'- Check machine condition and aux. condition are healthy


' -Take data and record them
' -Closely monitor: Suction filter differential and discharge temperature
-Vibrations of: Motor, Gearbox, and Compressors

Step- 7 Stopping :

- Stop using PSLL of L.O header to check if motor really stop.


- Continue running L.O pump for 30-minutes then stop manually L.O pump

FLARE PILOT IGNITION PROCEDURE

Step-1 Line-up ignition system skid

Line-up Pilot gas control, ignition and Bottled Gas supply.


Confirm there is power of ignition panel and pilot lamp is ok.
Line-up Pilot gas piping and ignitor piping
Confirm all vent and drain valves are closed.

Step-2 Purge ignition piping for 2-minutes.

Purge ignition piping for 2-minutes with gas/I.A mixtures

Step-3 Purge pilot gas line for 6-minutes

Purge pilot gas line for 6-minutes with pilot gas setting
regulator at 1-Bar. : 1.0 Bar

Step-4 Open only one ignition line valve at a time

To do ignition, one ignition line is use at a time


Push ignitor button only once and repeat after 3-minutes before
pushing it again if in case no ignition occur.

Step-5 Lighting ok, Shut-off the ignition gas immediately

Confirm light-on from ICS and from pilot lamp on indication at panel
Flame detector setting TSH/L = 150 deg. C

Step-6 Repeat Step-4 to Step-5 for other ignition line for other pilot burner

To light other pilot,


Repeat the procedeure in Step-4 and 5.
