Ethical follows to people feelings that does by doing what is right to someone else, which
cooperates to make the society a better world to live by. Ethics are thoughts dealing with morals
and actions. It refers for people to have a behavior standard that considers of right and wrong
that people out to do in this world whether its consequentialist, duty, and virtue framework but it
depends on people's actions. It impose for people to have obligations or a way a person should
be such as loyalty, compassion, and honesty and it gets them to learn more ethics helped
emphasize the importance of being a good person. Being a spotty person does not make them
only individual but it helps the society too because the world will see how someone acts with
others. A way to follow as an good individual person or as a group that will lead to obligations
such as natural duties, voluntary obligations, and obligations of solidarity. The duties and
obligations leads to the meaning of justice, which is the ability dissimilarity of an act that shows
fairness to what is right or wrong and making ethical decisions. The theme of my rules are
logically consistent with each other it reflects to different and loyal characteristics. Those
characteristics rfets on how someone should be treated with friends. These theme will connect
with virtue framework because it refers actions on how someone people will view them in a
The first rule to live by is doing no harm. As an individual it can be harming others, even
themselves, it reflects on how realization of ethics and moral is. Harming others can hurt people
but so does the individual on any hard situation theyre dealing with. The rule is important
because its better not to harm others or else it hurts their feelings. If the individual person
doesnt want to hurt others as cultural norms, they should make ethical decisions. At some point
dealing with moral, it wont affect them to hurt themselves by causing harm. According to
Excerpt from Justice: Whats the Right Thing to Do? It states Natural duties are universal. We
are universal. We owe them to persons with respect, to do justice, to avoid cruelty, and so on
(Sandel 3). An individual will have to show their actions as character it is their duty to respect
others in society because it attempts their characters traits as vitrue. It is the character right
follow the natural duties order if they want to show the world who they are and its better to
cause harm themselves but not to others. The rule connects with the claim by showing that their
doing whats best for others in a way of action and it might hurt themselves to cause harm but it
The second rule to live by is be honest. Being honest with others can hurt either hurt them
but at the same time its better to tell the truth and keeping the lie aside. Everyone likes to hear
the truth or if someone lies to them there can a bad situation that cause others. This rule is
important because being honest is choosing not to lie others especially if the person is very
close with someone. As a character telling the truth it creates a strength that allows them to be
in good path with others but it also doesnt affect them because the act with integrity as making
right choices in a good way. According to Excerpt from Justice: Whats the Right Thing to Do? In
obligations of solidarity it states They involve moral responsibilities we owe, not to rational
beings, but to those with whom we share a certain history (Sandel 32). An individual has the
responsibility to owe others by being honest to those whom they care about. Its best for them to
show their action as self-respect so that their moral is a good character and dishonesty can hurt
others and that affects the character trait because their showing people on how they act, which
considers them the wrong way and determines to break relationships with others. The rule
connects with the claim because being honest is a foundation that can last with others in any
context and that will show the way the individual on their feelings.
The third rule to live by is keep secrets. Its best to keep others secrets because its our
humanity to protect them and thats the reason the other person is telling us since they feel
trusted. Its better not to tell others because its a promise you made with the person that trusts
you and everything will be in peace if nothing happens. The rule is important because the
principles of morality is to do the right things and how the character should be identify in a spotty
way. According to Excerpt from Justice: Whats the Right Thing to Do? In voluntary obligations
states Liberal justice requires that we protect peoples rights, not that we advances their good.
Whether, and with whom, we have to agree to do so (Sandel 13). This quote means that
keeping secrets that someone told you not to tell is protecting their right because it was their
voluntary to keep it safe and make the secret doesnt spread. The individual made an
agreement they wouldnt tell so that will make their character in a behavioral standard in a
positive way. The rule connects with the claim by holding someone's secrets as a loyal person
because they want to indicate their actions in a good character and making sure people see
The fourth rule to live by helping others. Helping others is a good thing to deeds others and
its handy to help people when help is needed. Not only they get help and make good thoughts
on the other person but it makes the individual person know they did something they dont
usually do or feel better of themselves. This rule is important because it gives them a realization
of how its important to help to those around that individual person. The person you help on
whatever situation, they will never forget on how you helped them, which gives them a great
feeling about you. According to Excerpt from justice: Whats the right Thing to Do? states This
is a universal duty that can be justified as a duty we owe as persons, as fellow human beings.
The question were trying to decide is whether nations have special responsibilities to care for
their people (Sandel 54).This quote means that as the world we live in is a place where people
has a duty to care for others, which that can be helping others no matter who it is unless if its
not someone who mistreated you. This rule connects with the claim because its a good way for
an individual to think when others address in any situations. It shows them how they can mean
The fifth rule to live by making a change. Many times in life we need a change, for good or
to better yourself or even help others . Making a change is a human way of demanding yourself
to a better decision, choice or statement. Once settling in a choice, focusing on make the best
of it should be like a goal trying to achieve, onced achieved the feeling is great and it even gives
more strength to continue making even better decisions than when it was started. According to
Excerpt from Justice: Making a Change states Narrative Conception They are part of who we
are, and so rightly bear on our moral responsibilities (Sandel 20). This quote means that being
our own self makes us realize of how we are living and the changes we have to make in order to
progress. The rule connects to the claim because in the past they probably werent the best
person but as people get older, they learn from their mistakes from what they did or did to
others. In their personality they can be a loyal person but people always should forget the
The sixth rule to live by is be friendly. Best way to to be friendly is collaborating with others
in a nice way so that they can support you no matter what and it gives a benefit to know how
someone would be treating you or treating them in a knowledge way. Being friendly with others
can lead you in many good ways such as trusting, inspiring, teamwork, helping, etc. The rule is
important because as a successful way its the best way to have a strong chemistry. Being the
kind with the people you meet can show a kind feeling towards each other and by showing
caring to someone it can be contagious. According to Excerpt from Justice: Whats the Right
Thing to do? states Natural duties are universal. We owe them to persons as rational beings.
They include the duty to treat persons with respect, to do justice, to avoid cruelty, and so on
(Sandel 3). This quote means that once you get along with someone it means its your
responsibility to show them kindness because they will do the same for you so you owe them
the way they treated you. The rule connects with the claim because friendliness can mean
helping or working with others, not just focus on themselves. Thats why in virtue framework it
The seventh rule to live by is build a strong future. Building a strong future is a positive thing
as an individual person can feel, which they know theyll feel a good thing about themselves.
People who has a better life in the future can mean they work so hard to be in that position, in
the past probably it was difficult for them but they changed to more of a happier life. The rule is
important because people who see others as hard independent worker, they will view them in a
right way because they will know that werent a lazy person or else that their life can be mess
up. According to Excerpt from Justice: Whats the Right Thing to Do? it states We should set
aside when deliberating about morality or justice; they are part of who we are, and so rightly
bear on our moral responsibilities (Sandel 26). If someone wants to build a strong future, they
will have to make ethical decisions to show what kind of person they want be. The rule connects
with the claim by not focusing on how they want their education or caer they want to have but
The eighth rule to live by is challenge yourself. People who likes to challenge is that they
get motivation from others, which its very helpful for them. Its better to challenge yourself
because pushes you to have knowledge and abilities. It makes them feel not weak because
theyre learning hot to be that way. Challenges yourself can be difficult at some point but its
worth because others like to see that from you. The rule is important because challenging
themselves ia good way to identify they want to show others. They try to keep away the
negative things and be more positive on themselves by believing that they can do something.
Another good thing is that they have people to support them and telling them that they can do it.
According to the Excerpt from Justice: Whats the Right Thing to Do? it states I have an
obligation to repay the benefit (Sandel 15). This means that people who does great things for
themselves are mostly the good person, which theyre doing rights things and have always been
there for others. The rule connects with the claim because the virtuous person is doing whatever
The ninth rule to live by is being a leader. Being a leader means you have to have leader
skills and be tough on your people and yourself. By being tough with others doesnt mean you
have to harsh on them, you still have to show respect like they way they treat you as a leader
because they have faith in you. According to Excerpt from justice: Whats the Right Thing To
Do? It states The question were trying to decide is whether nations have special
responsibilities to care for their people (Sandel 55). This means that being a leader always has
responsibilities but they should always respect their people because they look up to them and
believe that they can be a leader too. This connects with the rule because the character who
learn who they are and how people should identify them such as inspiration. Leaders make sure
they have self-confidence and trust with their employees and so does they.
The tenth rule to live by is dont change yourself. The reason why people shouldnt change
themselves because it wont identify who truly they are and others wont accept that because
theyll realize of how much the individual person can be. The rule is important because its better
to show the world who you really are and the character you can actually be can be the part that
everyone likes about. According to Excerpt from Justice: Whats the Right Thing to Do? It states
We should set aside when deliberating about morality or justice; they are part of who we are
(Sandel 26). This quote means that instead always focusing about our morality, people should
also focus on who they are. This is why people should be themselves and not change for
someone.
I develope my list by making sure which framework would make sense with my rules, which
was the virtue framework. I read the virtue framework a couple of times so that it can connect to
the topic. I tried to identify the characters on greys anatomy in a good way on how they should
treat others with respect. There were some revisions I made while I was making up my rules
and I change 3 of them. They way I refix them was reviewing the characters and how I can do
If my life were lived by these rules, it would be peaceful and something I would enjoy
everyday for the rest of my life because Ill get to meet great people who has such a good
character trait and that would include them not being a fake person, showing honesty, not
harming others, helping others, friendly, etc. The society I will be living in peace and I dont have
to be hating on anyone because theyll show the same respect as Im doing the same. Also they
will be aware of not hurting others and more focus on themselves on how they show identify as
good character. By everyone living by my rule, people would be more accepting of others and
themselves and would know when they need to take action for something.
