There are two different teams that are trying to capture the others gold. The team that gets all of the
gold into their treasure chest wins the game. But if you get tagged on the opposing teams side of the
field they can drag you to jail where you have to stand until one of your team mates rescues you. You
Introduction can only take one piece of gold at a time and cannot throw it you must run it back to your chest. You
(5 mins) must stay in bounds at all times. Also beware of the (JAIL BREAK).
Ask students to work together with their team mates
Ask the students to take 2 minutes before the game starts to come up with a game plan.
Tell the students its just a game and lets just have some fun.

Prior to Game starting, provide a minute to answer any questions:


Make sure everyone knows rules, and objectives.
Watch the game commence
Body (20 mins) Keep cueing students to keep playing as a team if getting off track.
Suggest strategies if it starts falling apart.
What happened at the end? Did I see any game plans change or new strategies born?
What happened when I Jail broke the prisoners did the students react poorly? Do they keep
playing the game fairly or did that break the rules?

Ask the students to find a partner and discuss what they have learned about strategy and working as a
team.

Closure
Get the students to tell me why it is important to play the game as a team as well as why it is
(5 mins) important to play the game or any game fairly.
