TUTORING ACTIVITY PLAN for: Logan

Tutoring Time: 1 hours

ELA Objectives (for St. Agnes student):


Following a discussion about capitalization and different punctuations, Logan will be given a story that is
written with mistakes, including capitals and wrong punctuations. He will have to read the story and fix the
mistakes as he goes with an accuracy of correcting 80% of the errors.

Describe the activity in each section and indicate high/low technology being used for each part of the activity:

Warm-up (2 min) To get Logan in the correct mindset, we will talk about words he knows,
uses, or sees every day that gets capitalized.

Pre-Test (5 min) Using a Plicker, Logan will be presented with 10 problems involving
different ways to write words that need to be capitalized, such as Logan,
and sentences with punctuations. He will be given two different choices
and he will have to choose which word or sentence is written correctly
with capital letters or correct punctuation.

Review of Prior To review Logans prior knowledge, we will discuss further why certain

Following a discussion on using the alligator mouth for less than and greater than signs, Logan will use cube
manipulatives to compare two given numbers with an accuracy of putting the correct sign in 13 out of 15 given
scenarios.

Warm-up (2 min) Logan will watch a short video that will discuss how to compare two
numbers using the less than, greater than, and equal to sign.

Pre-Test (5 min) Using flashcards, Logan will receive 10 cards with two numbers on it and
a blank circle in the middle of them. He will have to choose the correct
sign that goes in the blank to compare the numbers.
