OVERVIEW
The Plant Resource Manager (hereinafter called PRM) for the eldbus era efciently handles eld device manage-
ment and maintenance work. This General Specications (GS) describes Yokogawa Electrics engineering work to
introduce PRM into the CS 3000 system.

Function Generation
Set-up
In function generation, we install Windows, Oracle,
and the PRM package in the customers PC at the
Yokogawa headquarters factory.
We also dene device paths and the message acqui-
sition source (HIS), according to the hardware and
functional specications.

Factory Acceptance Test


Unit Test
In the unit test, we test PRM package unit operation at
the Yokogawa headquarters factory with the customer
in attendance.
Combination Test
In the combination test, we test the combination of the
PRM package with DCS and Fieldbus devices at the
Yokogawa headquarters factory with the customer in
attendance.

Start-up
Device Registration Into the PRM Database
We register the eld devices into the PRM database on
site.
