It has been reported that hundreds of local or traditional languages have disappeared. Local or
traditional languages are at risk of being lost when they are not taught to younger generations
anymore, while fluent speakers of the languages (usually the elderly) gradually die. It is our concern,
as a community, when local or traditional languages are no longer spoken or taught. Thus, there is a
need to teach children local or traditional languages. Here are four factors to consider why we should
teach children local or traditional languages.
First, language and culture and intertwined. Language is the vehicle in which family culture
and values are often transmitted. Learning a local or traditional language will help children gain more
appreciation and respect for different cultures.

with grandparents and extended family members in a home language can help bring a family closer
together. Besides, being able to speak a local or traditional languages will help build a good
relationship with the community, especially the elderly people.
Third, teaching local or traditional languages to children may help preserve the languages
since the remaining fluent speakers of the language are generally the older members of the
community. It may happen that when the elderly pass on, the languages die with them.
Fourth, learning local and traditional languages can improve the childrens communication
ability. Children with multiple language skills can differentiate and identify what language to speak and
with whom.
Teaching local or traditional languages to children is important can keep the languages from
disappearing. Parents or teachers at schools can start with simple ways of teaching such as by
speaking the language regularly and encouraging the children to respond and also being proud of

Skyfall offers a plot that actually seems a lot more realistic than many previous films, but still
entertains you in a thoroughly enjoyable way. Craig is faultless and any skepticism people had when
he first took on the famous character in Casino Royale has been proved utterly unnecessary. It
surprised me to learn that despite this being the seventh time that Dench has played M, we as the
audience know so little about her background and what goes on under her sharp-tongued and abrupt
exterior.
The battle of Sykfall at the end, is just fantastic and showed how amazing a simple scene of
only three important characters can be, if done properly. There isnt enough space to say how
impressed I was with Bardem as a baddie, who despite that horrendous blonde hair managed to be a
thoroughly terrifying and complex bad guy.
Skyfall is one of those films you just need to see. Yes, it is quite long, but at no point will you
find yourself glancing at your watch as the film doesnt give you the chance.

A mangrove is a tropical marine tree. Mangrove have special aerial roots and salt-filtering tap
roots, which enable them to thrive in brackish water. Brackish water is salty but not as salty as sea
water. Mangrove trees are commonly planted and found in coastal areas. Mangroves can serve as
walls of protection against a natural disaster in a coastal area, like a tsunami. According to BBC
News, healthy mangrove forests had helped save lives in the Asian tsunami disaster and people
tended to respect these natural barriers even more, especially after the tsunami.
There are several species of mangrove tree found all over the world. Some prefer more
salinity, while others like to be very-close to a large fresh water source such as a river. Some prefer
areas that are sheltered from waves. Some species have their roots covered with sea water every day
during high tide. Other species grow on dry land but are still part of the ecosystem. The Times of
India reported that are species of mangrove had been found and was also known as the looking-
glass tree, probably because the leaves are silver-coated.
Mangroves need to keep their trunks and leaves above the surface of the water. Yet they also
need to be firmly attached to the ground so they are not moved by waves.
Any part of a root that appears above the water flows oxygen to the plant under the water
