Student Activities & I do

Procedures The teacher will start by reviewing what students have learned
through the whole week.

We have already learned that good citizens are everyday

people that help in their community. Different ways in which
they can help are by helping elderly people, picking up
trash We have also learned that according to how we
reach out to others, is the way they are going to respond to
us. Also, we have learned that rules are what keeps us safe,
and that if we dont follow them, we could get in trouble,
and also that there are people in our community that help
make sure everyone follow the rules, and are there in case
some people choose not to.

We do

The class will be divided into four groups. Each group will go to the
game Activate, and each will be assigned a task (help out in a
shelter, stop bullying at your school, help your family, clean up your
local park). They are going to be doing tasks as a good citizen
would do, and they will play for 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes,
they are going to get together with the class, and they will share the
different things they needed to do to help in the community.

You do

The students will then create their own classroom rules. Based on
the classroom rules that the students have made, the teacher will
then create the classroom rules using the students examples.

Assessment Unit Assessment:

The students will be tested at the end of the activity to show what
they learned throughout the whole week.
