currentstatusoftheunitalongwithLAN/WLANthroughputandsignalstrengthoncetheunitis
configured.
SelecttheWirelesstabandchangetheWirelessModetoAccessPointWDS.
ThiswillopentheWDSPeerstable.EntertheMACAddressofthesecondaryBullet(12digit
alphanumericcodelocatedonthetopoftheBulletproductbox)intothefirstWDSPeersfield.
DonotentertheMACaddressoftheunityouareconfiguringintotheWDSPeersfield.Ifyouarenotsure
ofwhichaddressiscorrect,youcanverifytheaddressagainsttheWLANMACaddressattheMainTab
oftheconfigurationscreen
SelectChangeinthelowerrighthandcornerandthenApplyattheupperrighthandcorner.

OncetheBullethasrebooted,youarereadytoconfigurethesecondhalfofthebridge.Unplugthe
EthernetcablefromtheBulletyouhavejustconfiguredandconnecttotheEthernetportofthesecond
Bullet.

YourBulletHighSpeedWirelessPlatformsarenowconfiguredasaPointtoPointBridge.Antennascan
nowbeconnectedtotheintegratedNTypeconnectorandthesystemcanbedeployed.Theconnection
diagramatthebeginningofthismanualdetailsthecorrectcablingconnectionsforintegrationintoan
existingnetworkorLAN.Ifyouarebridgingtoasinglecomputer,theLANconnectionofthePOEInjector
oftheremoteunitorStationcanbeconnecteddirectlytothecomputersEthernetporttoallow
networkaccess.
AdditionalInformation
MostconnectionissuescanattributedtoincorrectMACaddressentry.Ifyouareunabletogainnetwork
accessorifthebridgeisnotfunctioningcorrectly,doublechecktheMACaddressentriesagainstthe
WLANMACaddresseslistedontheMainTabofeachoftheBulletsconfigurationpage.
TheBulletHighSpeedWirelessPlatformis,bydefault,configuredasanonrouting,nonaddressing
networkdevice.IfyouwishtousetheseunitstoforwardDHCPassignedaddressestoaremotelocation,
thedefaultBridgenetworkmodewillsuffice(listedundertheNetworktab).Ifyouwishtohavethe
oneoftheBulletsactasaDHCPserverorNATgateway,selecttheRouteroptionandtheunitwill
allowconfigurationofyourLAN/WLANaddressingandDHCPfunctionaility.
Wirelessspeedsareaffectedbymanydifferentenvironmentalvariables,includinglineofsight,
frequencyinterferenceandambientradionoise.TheBulletHighSpeedWirelessPlatformsupports
speedsupto100megabits/second(truethroughput),however,duetonaturalvarianceinsignalandthe
automaticspeedselection,thismayvary.Ifsustainedspeedsarerequired,youcanlocktheBullet(s)into
athroughputrateusingtheTransmissionRate,MbpsmenuundertheWirelessTab
