Grofers Selling Expired Products in the name of Grofers Housefull Sale: 1-3 June

I have placed an order on 2nd June 2017 and the items were delivered on 4th June 2017. I have
ordered almost 24 items. The ordered items were 7 packs of Pringles and biscuits (Sunfeast & Hide
& Seek).

Pringles manufactured date were April, January, November & December 2016 (not 2017). I
usually dont look at the manufacturer date, I trust these online retailers. At around 11 am my
daughter vomited after consuming these Pringles. She is being analyzed by the doctor now. The
medical report is yet to come.
Then I looked at the pack to know these packs were expired in September 2016. Then I checked
every packet, all are expired. There gimmick is to sell all the expired on the name of a sale
Grofers Housefull Sale: 1-3 June.
All the 24 items were expired and close to expiry date (a week more).

Grofers is saying that it might be a mistake. How it is that possible to send every single product as
expired one.. Money greediness to sell expired products.. Isnt it

I reported this issue to grofers customer care, no action taken yet.. Default answer -wait for 48
hours. manufactured date - April 2016.. Expiry date September 2016... My 4 year daughter has
already consumed few of the items..

People of India has enormous trust and faith in Ambani Group after Tata Sons who have given n
number of growth avenues to the country and people of the Country.
Actually, I heard lot of news on social media about how Reliance is going to mis-use their JIO
consumer's ID and Aadhar details. I thought it is all rubbish but today when I visited Reliance
fresh, I was shocked how the country's biggest industrialist has become rich by making fool of
illiterate bhole bhale people of our country.
I purchased 200gm and 500gm each Nestle Dahi. When I came home aand was about to open the
pack, I found that 400gm pack was manufactured 20.11.16 and best before date was 05..12.2016.
This expired pack was sold deliberately knowing the fact the goods is expired and it should be
removed from the shelf.
The Limit of selling Expired Product in the Reliance Fresh went to the stage that a sticker label
was pasted on the manufacturing and Expiry date of 200gm pack to hide the fact and the expired
200gm pack of Nestle dahi was
sold.
In the name of Reliance Fresh, Expired Food Products are sold openly.
In past 3 months we have been sold 3 products that were expired at Reliance Fresh. All the times,
we were told that if a product that is manufactured & packed on 10th of a month and expires within
10 days of packaging then they are allowed to sell it on 20th of that month, which is not true. We
inquired from Amul (have a SMS saved) who said that 10 days will include date of packaging and
hence the product is considered expired on 19th of that month and NOT on 20th. Upon asking
contact no. of cluster and area manager, the Store Manager talked in an abusive manner and said
that even though they agreed it was a mistake on their part, they didn't care about consumer forums
etc. In almost a threatening tone we were asked to leave the store and they immediately removed
the expired products admitting thereby that we were correct. We not only feel cheated but almost
life-threatened since they behaved and talked like goons. Request you to look into the matter as
soon as possible.
