Introduction

LabVIEW is a very popular environment for control and measurement application. It

allows visual programming, user in a convenient way can create application with
graphic interface. MicroDAQ support package for LabVIEW gives users ability LabVIEW
software with MicroDAQ hardware.

In this document contains installation procedure for MicroDAQ Labview support

package.

DIO func - VI allows to change DIO channels function to ENC1, ENC2, PWM1,
PWM2, PWM3 or UART

Encder read - direction output for rotation direction indication

None option - selecting None option disables VI execution (data will not be
send/recv to MicroDAQ)

KEY get - VI read MicroDAQ F1, F2 function key state

LED set - VI sets MicroDAQ LEDs

PRU exec - now user can select build-in firmware to expand MicroDAQ
functionality. Encder and RC controller are avaliable at the moment.

Steps involved to Install package:

Step 1: In order to install package use LabVIEW Package Manager.

Step 2: You can download LabVIEW Package Manager software from JKI website
http://jki.net/vipm/download.

Step 3: Find Add-ons on the LabVIEW Tools Network

The LabVIEW Tools Network is the place to browse NI Toolkits and 3rd party
LabVIEW Add-ons.

Step 4: In case MicroDAQ add-on are not found easier, download the MicroDAQ
Labview support package from GitHub (https://github.com/microdaq/LabVIEW).

Step 5: Download Add-ons with VI Package Manager

Once you find an add-on on the Tools Network or GitHub, click on the
download button to automatically download and install the add-on
directly into LabVIEW using VI Package Manager.

After installation completed, click finish button

Step 7: Let us open LabVIEW

Create a new VI file

Open the MicroDAQ palette and start the model.
