Popplet is a program that allows users to create a digital concept map which helps organize any
information at hand. This is a very user friendly program that is perfect for educators and
students. It is simple enough for students in earlier grades to use to help organize their notes and
ideas, and is perfect for teachers to present information to students. I especially like that the
program allows for color coding which aids in organizing the information. This application can
be used in lessons throughout different content areas and in individual and group presentations.
For this activity I was required to create a concept map relating to my Pixie presentation on my
hero. This application allowed me to organize the information on my slideshow; I was also able
to organize the information for a lesson based on this activity. From the perspective of a student
and a teacher, I believe this application is a great tool to integrate in the classroom.
