Win32 Disk Imager: Installation and Usage

1.1 Introduction
Win32 Disk Imager is a tool that is used to read/write an image file from/to a removable me-
dia, e.g. CompactFlash card or SecureDigital card. The tool works in Microsoft Windows
operating systems. Administrator privileges are needed (Administrator account has to be
used on Windows 7).

CompactFlash cards are used in ACN C20/C65/CS nodes. SD cards are used in ACN SR1 and
ACN MR nodes.

In order to work with removable medium there has to be a card reader (e.g. ImageMate by
SanDisk) attached to the PC running Win32 Disk Imager.

1.2 Installation
Win32 Disk Imager and the image files for ACN nodes can be installed from Valmet DNA
Installation Server.

Using the Valmet DNA Software Installation Center, install feature DNA Controls ACN Boot
Media Configurator.

The default installation folder is D:\dna\CA\ACN_Compact .

1.3 Usage

trator account on Windows 7).

NOTE!
It is highly recommended that only one removable media at a time is connected to the PC.

1.3.2 Launch
Win32 Disk Imager is launched from Start menu via Start>Programs>Valmet
