Weveknownaboutgravitationalwavesforalongtime.Morethan100yearsago,agreatscientist

What causes gravitational waves?

Themostpowerfulgravitationalwavesarecreatedwhenobjectsmoveatveryhighspeeds.Some
examplesofeventsthatcouldcauseagravitationalwaveare:

Butthesetypesofobjectsthatcreategravitationalwavesarefaraway.Andsometimes,these
eventsonlycausesmall,weakgravitationalwaves.Thewavesarethenveryweakbythetime
theyreachEarth.Thismakesgravitationalwaveshardtodetect.

How do we know that gravitational waves exist?

In2015,scientistsdetectedgravitationalwavesfortheveryfirsttime.Theyusedaverysensitive
