MUMC Music Notes
Greetings everyone! On July 9 our congregation will
welcome Fred Liest, our new lead pastor. The Agape and
Chancel Choirs will be coming together to provide special
music for this service. I want to invite anyone who loves
great music to join us. We will rehearse in the choir room
from 7-8:30pm (choirs take note of the time change) on
June 28 and July 5. Lets fill our choir loft! We will do the
Randall Bass Gloria and John Ness Becks Upon this Rock
with brass and percussion. If youve ever wanted to sing
but dont have time on an ongoing basis this is the perfect
opportunity to help us and enjoy sharing your God given
talent.
Our 2017-2018 Concert series is being finalized and it
is shaping up to be the best season yet! The Missouri
United Methodist Choirs will join the Missouri Symphony
Society Conservatory Chamber Orchestra for our Christmas
Concert and next June we will perform with the Missouri
Symphony Orchestra for a program that includes Ralph
Vaughn-Williams Serenade to Music. In February we will
welcome Shelley Morman-Stahlman, a world renowned
organist for a workshop and concert. Please be watching
as we unveil our fantastic line up of concert events. This
is a unique opportunity for you the congregation to reach
out to friends, family and co-workers and invite them to
our church. Please support your Concert Series. The 2017-
18 season will not disappoint!
As we continue our new
