Subject: New accommodation fire system.

Date: 16-4-2017.

Problem:

"Base signal trouble" is appeared on the display. After pressing INFO button, this
alarm means there is a short in Loop 0 address 003.

Activities:

1- Isolated the main loop. (Loop 0)

2- Put plug with EOL to make system normal until solving the problem.

3-base signal trouble is mainly problem in horn or strobe. (Based on vendor

recommendations).

4-There are 2 horn/strobe in each floor. So, it is needed to check devices and its
related cables.

5-Remove all devices of this loop and built it direct to panel with new cable to check
devices.

6-Open junction box to check cables of each device.

7-Finally, found the root cause of the problem is that the roof horn terminal is
damaged and burnt due to weather conditions. (Rain)

8- Remove the damaged horn from the system until delivering a new one.

9-Remove the plug from panel and connect the main loop (Loop 0).

10-Test the system to be sure that all devices at this loop are working properly.

11-Now, the system is normal without any alarm.
