2nd Quarter Plan

Goals

The research in my lab deals with using DNA vaccines to cure cervical cancer; to
accomplish this the researchers in my lab are trying to not only make a more effective preventive
vaccine that prevent more than 70% of all types cervical cancer , but also a therapeutic vaccine to
treat women who already have cervical cancer. Over the next ten weeks I plan to continue
learning different protocols and techniques, so that I can achieve my ultimate goal of developing
my own DNA vaccine project that I can work on over the summer.

Timeline

November 9-November 23:

Meet with Mr. Nelson on the 10th

Write abstract for Anna
Hold first committee meeting with sophomores
Continue attending Lab
Article Dissection assignment due on the 23rd

November 24-December 8:

Meet with Mr. Nelson

Write scientific article summary
Continue attending Lab

December 9-December 23:

Symposium committee meeting

Write proposals for new awards and descriptions. Review old awards and discuss flaws.
Make final edits for awards committee.
Meet with Mr. Nelson

December 24-January 6:

Enjoy Break
Symposium committee meeting
Meet with Mr. Nelson on the 5th
 Continue lab work

January 7-January 22:

Prepare for exams
