learning activities.
Students will be taught how to utilize beanbags to learn to throw and

Teacher will demonstrate each activity that encourages students to
participate in an exciting activity in a respectful manner with peers:
1. Teacher will demonstrating how to throw one beanbag, slightly, in
the air and catching it.
2. Demonstrate and teach students to stand in a line (shoulder to
shoulder) and pass a beanbag along the line in-front of their bodies and
then behind their bodies.
3. Demonstrate and teach students to pass the beanbag over their
head to the next person in line.
4. Demonstrate and teach students to throw and catch a beanbag as
they are grouped in pairs.
5. Place 5 buckets in the field, assign a group to each bucket,
demonstrate and teach students to throw a beanbag in an underhand
toss into the bucket.

Teacher will lead a discussion on how students can improve their
throwing and catching skills now that they have practiced with a

Assessment: How will you assess progress in this standard? Step 1 Have a checklist prepared to
(refer to pages in the PE Framework that support your plan) monitor students throughout the
lesson.
A checklist will record when each student acquires the concept. Each
student will be listed with four boxes next to their name. Each box will
correspond to one of the four concepts being taught during the lesson.
Once the student has demonstrated understanding of the concept, the
box will be checked. All students should have all four boxes checked by
the end of the lesson.

Your intervention or adaptation:

To aid this student with acquiring the physical educations skills, some
minor adaptations will be implemented. Every activity will be
demonstrated. The manipulatives (beanbags) will be shown to the
student and he will be directly taught that they are called beanbags. To

the stretching and labeling of body parts, student will be guided

with assistance as needed. Student will be shown each manipulative
and it will be demonstrated as to how it can be thrown and caught.

demonstrate the skills to peers who need assistance and prompted to

Reflection: What have you learned about planning instruction for a diverse student population in this content area?

Students start at varying degrees of ability but all students need to acquire the standard skills. The instruction must
meet the needs of students that start with no prior knowledge but also be able to be modified to meet the needs of
students who have already acquired the basic skills.
What area of this instructional plan was easy to complete?
It was easy to create various activities to improve students involvement in physical education that encourage their
participation in enjoyable, challenging, and sharing games.

What area will you need more knowledge/skill in order to do the task well?
I will need to improve my knowledge on how to differentiate an activity so those that already mastered the concept
can deepen their understanding but still participate with the group.
