PART-TIME EXHIBIT RESEARCHER

The County of Prince Edward is an island community on the shores of Lake Ontario with a

Our Human Resources Department is currently accepting applications for our student
position of Exhibit Researcher at Macaulay Heritage Park. Reporting to the Head Curator,
the Exhibit Researcher is responsible for consulting local collections for artifacts and
relevant written materials (on-site and off-site) related to the Indigenous history of Prince
Edward County.

This position is funded through Kagita Mikams Summer Youth Initiative program; therefore
to be considered for this position, you must be of Aboriginal descent, between the ages of
15 30 and returning to Secondary or Post-Secondary studies on a full-time basis in the
Fall. The project is conducting research for a permanent exhibit that is slated to open in
Summer 2018 at the museum.

Other general qualifications include:

Strong organizational skills with the ability to show initiative in the workplace
Able to work both as part of a team and independently as required
Safety conscious
Proof of satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening Check
Reliable form of transportation

This position is scheduled to begin mid-July, working 3 days per week for a total of 6 weeks.
The current rate of pay for this position is $11.40 per hour. Please submit your application
