III. Course Description;
This course deals with the review of theories of reading, study of techniques,
approaches, in teaching beginning reading. It explains the importance of reading in early stage.

IV. Course Objectives:

Cognitive (knowledge)

1. Explain the preview ,history, theories, process and stages of reading

Affective (attitudes)

2. Value the importance of early reading

Psychomotor (skills)

1. Adapt and develop early reading skills


2. Develop instructional materials for early readers using different approaches and
techniques in teaching beginning reading
