Up All Night Softball Tournament


Rules:

All game will consist of 7 innings or 55 min time limit which ever happens first.
ALL TEAMS MUST TURN IN A LINEUP TEN MINUTES PRIOR TO THE START OF THEIR GAME
Each team will start on a 1 ball and 1 strike count. No COURTESY
Home team will be determined by coin flip. The top team in the finals bracket will automatically
be home team. IF game will be determined by coin toss.
Coin Toss will also be start time of game.
All rosters will have a maximum of 15 players. All participants must be a minimum of 16 years
old as of tournament date (proof may be required). Any participant under the age of 18 must
have a parent/guardian signature prior to participation.
The Players- A team must have 8 players to start or to continue a game with the maximum of 10
players on the field. Max 11 batting(EH) for the Mens and Womens Division and 12 batting for
COED(equal men to women ratio including EH)
COED lineups must alternate male and female batters with no 2 males batting consecutively.
Substitutes- A player is officially in the game when his/her name has been entered on the
officials score sheet. Once a player leaves the lineup he/she may re-enter the game for the
player that substituted for them priory( maximum of 1 reentry per player)
ADD ONS- any additional add on to your roster must be made prior to the start of your next
game.
ALL PLAYERS ARE TO SIGN THE ROSTER AND LIABILITY WAIVER PRIOR TO STEPPING ON THE
FIELD. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! ONCE THE ROSTER IS SIGNED THAT PLAYERS IS LOCKED TO THAT
TEAM. ANY PLAYER CAUGHT PLAYING ON MULTIPLE TEAMS WITHIN THE SAME DIVISION IS
DISQUALIFIED AND WILL NO LONGER BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENT. IN
ADDITION THE TEAM WHICH THE PLAYER IS CAUGHT PLAYING ON WILL RECEIVE A FORFIET FOR
THE GAME IN WHICH THE PLAYER PLAYED.
ITB-IF at the end of 55 minutes or 7 innings, there is a tie, the International Tie Breaker Rule will
go into effect. One runner will be placed on second base (last batter from previous inning). One
full inning will be played to ensure equal opportunity for both teams.
Each team MUST have ONE named captain on the roster sheet and contact info.
The captain is the only player who may address the officials during the game, but only on
matters of rule interpretations.
Equipment- No METAL CLEATS are allowed. Jewelry is advised not to be worn. All bats must be
official softball bats and must have most current ASA stamp and USSA Stamp. Miken Ultra, any
senior league or titanium bats are NOT ALLOWED.
Close plays- runner must get down.
IF GAME- The IF game will be played with the same rules at the CHAMPIONSHIP game
Bunting and stealing are not permitted.
Pitches- All pitches must be delivered in a with an arc between 6 and 10 feet( it is at the
discretion of the umpire if the pitch falls in this area)
HOME RUN RULES- Each team will be allowed 5 homeruns, with 1 up after that
RUN RULES-The game will be called if at the completion of the 3rd inning if one team is ahead by
20 runs, in the 4th inning if a team is ahead by 15 runs and in the 5th inning if the team is ahead
by 10runs. If the home team is ahead at the middle of the inning and the above scenario exist
the game is over. Championship and IF game will play the entirety of 7 innings, unless one team
is ahead by 25 runs in the 5th inning.
Infield Fly rule-A fair, hit ball, other than line drive, that is caught or in the opinion of the umpire
could be handled by an infielder. Players must be on first and second base (or bases loaded)
with less than two outs.
Bring your own gloves and bats. Mens division is required to supply their own balls. Balls must
be .44/375 or .52/375 and must be accompanied by a stamp! NO EXCEPTIONS!!! If the stamp is
not visible due to wear or any other reason, Umpires will not allow further use of particular ball.
COED division balls will be: GREEN DOT for the female and RIF 10 for the Men. One green dot
and one RIF 10 balls will be supplied at the time of registration. Additional balls will be available
for purchase.
Womens division will use GREEN DOT and must supply their own balls. Each ball must be
accompanied by a stamp! NO EXCEPTIONS!!! If the stamp is not visible due to wear or any other
reason, Umpires will not allow further use of particular ball.
Members of a team at bat shall not interfere with a player attempting to field a foul fly ball.
When an over the fence homerun is hit, the batter and all base runners may go directly to the
dugout after the batter touched first base.
Player ejections- Any player ejected from a game in the tournament are automatically
suspended for the next game his/her team is scheduled. If the player is then ejected again, the
player will be suspended from the reminder of the tournament and asked to leave ground. NO
EXCEPTIONS!!!
Any player and or spectator for playing team disrespecting, shoving or threatening an umpire
will be ejected from the game, and will face further disciplinary actions. WE WILL NOT
TOLERATE this behavior. Police will be called if any misconduct toward the umpires or
tournament staff is witnessed.
Teams must keep their dugout clean!
Drinking in plain sight is absolutely prohibited. Any player, staff and/or bystander caught
drinking in plain sight will be asked to discard the beverage.
Protest must be handled in a professional manner. BY CAPTAIN of team ONLY.
In the event of any delays including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, the
tournament director reserves the right to go to a one pitch rule in order to catch up with the
schedule.
After the first set of game the next we CAN NOT guarantee the official start time of your game.
It is up to the captain to keep an eye on brackets and ensure your team is ready when it is your
time! WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO ANNOUNCE UPCOMING GAMES. WE WILL NOT GO
SEARCHING FOR YOU AND HOLD UP THE TOURNAMENT. IT IS UP TO YOU TO CHOW UP READY
TO PLAY! IF YOUR TEAM IS NOT READY, AND CAUSES A DELAY, THE GAME WILL BE DECLARD A
FORFIET.

WE RESESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE.MODIFY RULES AT ANY TIME WHEN DEEMED NECESSARY! WE
ARE HER YOU COMPETITION BUT ALSO TO HAVE A GOOD TIME! PLEASE CONTROL YOUR EMOTIONS
AND PLAY TO ENJOY THE GAME
