Dear Concern,
I, Moyen Uddin Ahmmed, am a humanitarian activist as well as development worker with
team leadership and evaluation having more than ten (10) years experience in international
and national platform for different organizations including Government, INGO and NGOs.
Technical qualification (MSc in Water Resources Engineering and BSc in Agricultural
Engineering) along with management (both programme & project) experiences made me
confident in integrated management approach. I am familiar with participatory
implementation process.

Currently I am working for Oxfam international in its Humanitarian department as an

Irrigation Specialist in South Sudan. My responsibilitis include providing solution on
integrated water management problems to emergency food security and livelihood activities
and WaSH programme. Prior to Oxfam, I was working in Bangladesh as a Programme
Manager for the Disaster Management and Climate Change (DMCC) programme of BRAC,
the worlds largest NGO. In this position I was leading two units including Early Warning and
Emergency Response. Bangladesh is a country of hazards. Since 2011 upto 2016 I was
leading all emergency response works in every disasters (cyclone, flood, tornado/norwester,
food crisis, land slide, building collapse, cold wave, urban disasters etc.) in Bangladesh.
Other roles, include programme and project management, coordination & cooperation with
all clusters (Food Security Cluster, WASH Cluster, Child protection cluster, shelter cluster
and Education Cluster) and platform (Spehere community Bangladesh, IUCN).

Previously, I held the position of Agricultural Engineer with the Department of Agricultural
Extension (DAE). I was assigned to design and construct low cost irrigation canals, buried
pipe systems, install multipurpose deep tube wells (DTWs), re-excavate canals and water
bodies for irrigation purpose. Furthermore, I trained farmers on agricultural machinery and
farm water management, as well as motivate them to adopt new technologies, install drip
and sprinkler irrigation system with irrigation scheduling.

My extensive job profile with these different organizations, scattered all over Bangladesh and
oversees has given me adequate knowledge and experience to implement the required role
for this position. Also, my published journals exemplify my research ability to conduct
thorough studies.
