Last week we looked at how the enemy attacks from within, infiltrating the
leadership of Congregations the spirit of Esau or the spirit of Satan wants to
keep Israel from entering the Promised Land. This same spirit is working in the
Antichrist that will play a huge part in end time deception. This week we will look
at the Commandment that is associated with the Purification Ceremony before
the construction of the Temple. This is another step towards the border of time
as we prepare to enter the Promised Land, which coincides with events
surrounding the construction of the next Temple.
There are three kinds of Commands:
Eidot, are commands that recall or testify to past events; like the laws
regarding Shabbat or Pesach
Mishpatim are commands that are also dictated by mortal
understanding; like honouring ones parents or not stealing.
Chukim (chucat singular) are commands that have no rational basis or
explanation on the surface. Just because we might not understand the
reason behind a command; we are still expected by Elohim to guard and
keep it. He does not have to justify Himself to His creation.
The name of this Torah Portion is chucat tqx that is found in the opening
phrase of Numbers 19, where YHVH spoke to Moses saying; zo chukat ha
torah, meaning, this is the decree of the Torah. Chukat means decree and
comes from the root word that means wisdom. A decree is normally something
that is beyond human comprehension.
What the Torah says is: This is the Decree of the Torah which YHVH
commanded,. We must understand and follow this command especially
because in verse 10 it says, And it shall be a decree forever to the children of
Israel and to the stranger who sojourns in their midst.
According to some Rabbis, this Mitzvah is one of the most incomprehensible of
all the Laws of the Torah. They say, its one we cannot understand. But, we
must obey because it comes from Elohim.

The Brokenness of Adam
Red Heifer are the words adom parah. Parah means heifer as well as;
to break, to shatter and so means broken one. Red is the word adom /
adam / adamah and means red, ruddy, man and lentils (as in red lentil
stew, for which Esau sold his birthright). This gives two insights; firstly, the Red
Heifer points prophetically to the second Adam, the man Who was broken for
us, that is none other than Yshua the Messiah. Secondly, it points to broken
humanity, the first Adam, who represents the man that needs to be broken, to
rid mankind from their fleshliness depicted by Esau.
Q What is brokenness and how is it defined?
1 Cor 15:43 Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised
in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in
strength. 44 They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be
raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are
also spiritual bodies. 45 The Scriptures tell us, The first man, Adam,
became a living person. But the last Adamthat is, Messiahis a life-
giving Spirit. 46 What comes first is the natural body, then the spiritual
body comes later. 47 Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the
earth, while Messiah, the second Man, came from heaven. 48 Earthly
people are like the earthly man, and heavenly people are like the
heavenly man. 49 Just as we are now like the earthly man, we will
someday be like the heavenly man.
The First Adam, that is man in a natural broken state, in comparison to the
Second Adam, that is Messiah Yshua in a perfect spiritual state, reveals the
brokenness in humanity and our potential to become like Messiah Yshua, the
heavenly Man.
Brokenness according to the dictionary means; fractured, smashed, or
splintered: like a broken vase, imperfect or incomplete.
We are vessels that are created to contain substance, described as living
water and the Spirit of YHVH.
John 7:35-37 On the last and most important day of the festival, Yshua
stood up and cried out, "If anyone is thirsty, he should come to Me and
drink! 38 The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, will have
streams of living water flow from deep within him." 39 He said this about
the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were going to receive, for the
Spirit had not yet been received, because Yshua had not yet been
glorified.
The problem is that our vessels are broken and cannot contain the fulness of
Him unless He heals our brokenness. The fascinating thing is, that the water
(Word) He gives you, will mend your vessel and then you will contain His
living water. This living water you carry or contain is the expression of His
Word through your life with the help of His Spirit. The more water (Word) you
receive and contain, the more living water of the Spirit you will be able to carry
and express through your life, namely the fruit of the Spirit.
Q How is brokenness defined?

http://hasophim.com/ 2
In comparison with Yshuas fullness, we see
that everything He did was for the benefit of
the first Adam, not for His own benefit. This
means that brokenness is when you do
anything to benefit yourself and for the sake of
your own life. For example, if I help someone, I
might do it with a motive to be helped in the
future, or to get a reward from YHVH. I can
even preach the Word to be seen and be
respected by man. Brokenness sits on a
deeper level and is revealed by your motives
and not through your deeds or actions. Lucifer
has the appearance of brightness or Holiness,
visible from the outside, but hidden on the
inside is rebellion and selfish motives. Your
brokenness is healed when you challenge your every motive in everything you
do, if your action benefits you, then that action comes from your brokenness,
rooted in selfishness, and does not come from YHVHs Spirit or water flowing
from within. If you do something to only benefit someone else, that is similar to
what Yshua would have done, acting selflessly with a motive of love. When you
do this, you can truly say that you acted like Yshua and became like Him in that
situation. This is difficult to do because we are not mindful of being selfless
when we go about our day making decisions. That is why you have to pray
every day and ask YHVHs Holy Spirit to remind you of your motives when you
make decisions and interact with your fellow man. Those who are aware of not
having broken selfish motives will be able to discern the motives of those who
are still living in holy brokenness and be able to pray for them.

Sacrifice of the Red Heifer

The purpose of this ceremony was to purify a person who had
been in contact with someone who had died so that they could
be declared clean and enter the Temple again. The person who
took part in the purification ritual was declared clean, but the
Priest who performed this purification ritual became unclean until
evening.
The heifer had to be burned with all its blood, flesh, hide and
refuse. With the heifer, cedar wood, hyssop and scarlet material were
also cast into the fire. After burning, the ashes were beaten and then gathered
which resulted in approximately 3 kg of ashes. The ashes were then mixed with
water and sprinkled in all of the Temple. Everything that could be, was
immersed, but what could not be immersed was sprinkled for purification if it
had been in contact with the dead or death.
Num 19:13 Whosoever touches the dead body of any man that is dead,
and purifies not himself, defiles the Tabernacle of YHVH; and that soul
shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation (water that
purifies) was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness
is yet upon him.

http://hasophim.com/ 3
Num 19:11-12 He who touches the dead body of any man shall be
unclean seven days. (12) He shall purify himself with it (water of
purification) on the third day, and on the seventh day, he shall be clean.
But if he does not purify himself the third day, then the seventh day he
shall not be clean.
The water mixed with the Red Heifers ashes was called the water of
separation, water of purification and water of holiness.
Prophetic Application: Because the Jews do not believe in the Messiah,
they do not understand that Yshua fulfilled this prophetic sign of ritual
purification through the water that came from His side, which is a symbol of
the living water of the Word. This is a sign that Yshua came to cleanse His
Word from death and defilement (oral traditions) so that His people can have
access to His pure living water. The Red Heifer had to be without spot or
blemish, and this indicates that Yshua was holy and without sin. We have to
be clean, without Spot or Blemish, and this is achieved by the washing with
the Water of the Word.

The Red Heifer and the Miracle at the Marriage

Feast
The Red Heifer is associated with the Marriage
Feast when Yshua performed His first miracle
by turning water into wine.
Joh 2:6 And there were six stone
waterpots there, according to the
purification of the Jews, each containing
two or three measures.
He ordered them to bring water so that He could perform the miracle. They
brought six stone water pots that were used for the purification of the Jews.
This refers to the waters of separation or the cleansing water that contained
the ashes of the Red Heifer. This cleansing water was used for purification of
people who have been in contact with the dead. What an interesting connection
between death and a celebration, purification waters and wine.
Prophetic Application: The man was unclean for seven days and had to be
sprinkled on the third day to be clean on the seventh day. Yshua turned the
purification water into wine. Wine means joy and Yshua died so that we
could have access to the sweetness of this wine and joy of His Salvation and
everlasting life. Yshuas purification water (Word) cleanses us so that we
can be part of His Bride and celebrate the Marriage Feast during the Seventh
Millennium.

The Sacrifice of the Two Heifers

There are two words for heifer, the first one is parah that means cow, heifer,
kine, to bear fruit (literally or figuratively):--bear, bring forth (fruit), (be, cause to
be, make) fruitful, grow, increase. Parah is first used in Scripture when Jacob
was about to meet his brother Esau and he sent 40 heifers together with
numerous other animals as a gift prior to the two brothers meeting.

http://hasophim.com/ 4
This event is called the Kiss of Esau and prophetically points to the time of the
Great Tribulation.
The second word for heifer is eglah which
means a (female) calf, especially one nearly grown (i.e.
a heifer):calf, cow, heifer. It comes from the root
word agol which means round or to revolve in a
circular manner. This word is found in 1 Kings 7:23
where Solomon made a molten sea, ten cubits from one
brim to another and it was round (agol) all about, this
was around the Laver as part of the construction of the
first Temple which took him 13 years to complete.
Prophetic Application: Meditating on these two words and the passages
and themes associated with them reveals an end time context before the
Great Tribulation. It also reveals the time when the divided House of YHVH,
depicted by Jacob and Esau will meet, which I believe is part of the fulfilment
of the Two Sticks of Jer 31 coming to pass. According to parah it is about
growing, bearing fruit and to increase and is a message for the Assembly or
Body of Messiah to reach out to the nations and bring as many people into
the Kingdom prior to the coming of Yshua the Messiah. YHVHs people can
fulfil this task of being fishers of men (two fish Age of the Gentiles as
discussed in Parashah 36), and to be fruitful carrying the fruit of the Spirit.
This time is associated with the Laver, the place of cleansing and washing
with the Water of the Word that cleanses His people from man-made
traditions and pagan influences from the nations. This is when a true Temple
of YHVH can be built that is the accurate representation of the Body of
Messiah Yshua.
There is another place where two heifers (parah) are mentioned that colours in
between the end time prophetic lines, and this is in the first Book of Samuel.
This is the story of the return of the Ark of the Covenant or return of the
Covenant back to YHVHs people, after it was taken by the Philistines.
1 Sam 6:7-9, 13-15 Now, therefore, make a new cart, take two milk
cows which have never been yoked, and hitch the cows to the cart; and
take their calves home, away from them. 8 Then take the ark of
YHVH and set it on the cart, and put the articles of gold which you are
returning to Him as a trespass offering in a chest by its side. Then send it
away, and let it go. 9 And watch: if it goes up the road to its own
territory, to Beth Shemesh, then He has done us this great evil. 13 Now the
people of Beth Shemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley,
and they lifted their eyes and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it. 14 Then
the cart came into the field of Joshua of Beth Shemesh, and stood there; a
large stone was there. So they split the wood of the cart and offered the
cows as a burnt offering to YHVH. 15 The Levites took down the ark of
YHVH and the chest that was with it, in which were the articles of gold,
and put them on the large stone. Then the men of Beth Shemesh offered
burnt offerings and made sacrifices the same day to YHVH.
Beth Shemesh means, house of brilliance sun-temple, house
of the rising sun, or house of the servant. Beith means temple or house and
relates to YHVHs House. The House of YHVH (beth) that is connected to
Shemesh, reveals that YHVHs House was defiled and converted to a sun

worship temple after being exposed to cultural influences brought in by the
nations who joined YHVHs Kingdom.
The timeframe or timeline is important here. Firstly, the two heifers, parah and
eglah reveal the time before the Jacobs Trouble or the Kiss of Esau, which is
the timeframe around the Great Tribulation. It also reveals the time of the Age of
the Gentiles, when the spiritual Temple is constructed and one of the main
processes is the cleansing of the Saints with the purification water of the
Word. This timeframe is confirmed in 1 Samuel chapter 6 where it talks about
the time of the wheat harvest. The wheat harvest on the Spiritual Calendar is
the time of Shavuot, the Feast that falls between Passover and Trumpets, which
is followed by Yom Kippur, depicting the time of YHVHs Judgement or Day of
the Lord. These are the three annual pilgrim Fests where the men have to go
up to Jerusalem to celebrate.
Exo 23:14-16 Three times you shall keep a feast to Me in the
year: 15 You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread (you shall eat
unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded you, at the time appointed
in the month of Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt; none shall appear
before Me empty); 16 and the Feast of Harvest, the firstfruits of your
labors which you have sown in the field; and the Feast of Ingathering at
the end of the year, when you have gathered in the fruit of your labors
from the field.
Every one of these Feasts has to do with a harvest; Passover (Unleavened
Bread & Firstfruits) is associated with barley, Shavuot, also known as Firstfruits,
has to do with wheat and Sukkot has to do with fruit. What is interesting is that
the Passover season is followed by the Feast of Firstfruits, which is connected
through counting the omer to Shavuot, also known as Firstfruits. That makes
the Feast of First fruits stretch out between Passover and Shavuot. This
period starts with barley and bread and ends with a wheat harvest (Shavuot).
This harvest is associated with the Gentiles coming into the Kingdom during
the time of the Age of the Gentiles.
Harvest is the word qatser which means harvest (as reaped), the crop,
the time, the reaper, a limb (of a tree), branch, harvest (man). This word is also
found in Joshua chapter 3 in relation to the Ark of the Covenant:
Josh 3:15 It was the harvest season, and the Jordan was overflowing its
banks. But as soon as the feet of the priests who were carrying the Ark
touched the water at the rivers edge, the water above that point began
backing up a great distance away at a town called Adam, which is near
Zarethan. And the water below that point flowed on to the Dead Sea until
the riverbed was dry. Then all the people crossed over near the town of
Jericho.
Jordan is the word yarden which means descender and river of
judgement. As soon as the Priests feet touched the water, it receded, just like
the time when Israel travelled through the Red Sea, and it opened up becoming
dry land, from a town called Adam (man) near Zerethan (their distress). The
Harvest points to the Feast of the Harvest, that is the time of distress or
Tribulation, the time when Yshua will come down and judge man (Adam).
This harvest season is the time, that is proceeded by the counting the Omer,
the time period between Firstfruits (after Passover) and Firstfruits (at Shavuot).

http://hasophim.com/ 6
This indicates the time of distress (Zerethan) or Great Tribulation that will be
followed by the coming of Yshua, immediately after the Tribulation (Matt 24:29-
30), will come down (yarden) and judge mankind. Those who were with the
Priests who carried the Ark of the Covenant (in Covenant with YHVH), travelled
through the Jordan, time of judgement, and were not affected by it. This relates
to the passage in Rev 12:13-14, where the Woman will be looked after for 3
years during the reign of the Serpent.
This confirms 1 Sam 6s timeframe associated with the wheat harvest (Shavuot)
that is prophetically linked to the Age of the Gentiles. This is the time preceding
the Great Tribulation and the Second Coming of Yshua, where He will come to
judge His House or Joshuass Field (followers of Yshua or Body of Messiah) as
depicted by Solomons Temple (agol heifer). He will come to harvest the
Firstfruits (wheat harvest), gathering the seed (His Bride) and the chaff will be
burned.
Matt 3:11-12 I baptise you with water for repentance, but after me will
come One more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry.
He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. 12His winnowing
fork is in His hand to clear His threshing floor and to gather His wheat
into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Q What does this reveal to us?
It places Shavuot as a prophetic time that coincides with the Age of the
Gentiles, the time between the First and Second Coming of Yshua, when
YHVHs Spirit is given to reach out to the nations. This implies that the Feast of
Frist fruits is not yet fulfilled, but is in the process of being fulfilled and will only
happen after the Harvest, after the 2000 years of the Age of the Gentiles. First
fruits is the time period of four months, when the wheat harvest is being
prepared, the time where the first fruits of the nations are coming in to become
part of the Priesthood who will carry the Ark of the Covenant through the time of
the Jordan (Tribulation), The fullness of the Harvest will come in, ultimately
fulfilling the Feast of Shavuot in the Kingdom, where Yshua will bring down the
Tablets instead of Moses (Isiah chapter 2).

YHVHs Judgement
Continuing in 1 Samuel chapter 3. We have two cows or heifers, a wooden cart
with the Ark of the Covenant and a large stone that was used for the harvest.
The Levites then took the Ark of the Covenant and put it on the large stone.
This large stone was used to separate the wheat from the chaff and is related to
the threshing floor in Matthew 3:12, in the context of immersion and judgement.
These symbolise the gathering of YHVHs Harvest and the separation of the
wheat from the chaff. Those who are unbroken vessels contains the living
water or Spirit of YHVH, described here as being baptised in the Spirit, meaning
that they contain the Holy Spirit. They will be gathered in place in the Barn
(Kingdom), but those who are not wheat, will be separated and burned.
There is another connection between the Red Heifer and the large stone. Red
heifer is the word parah that comes from the word par rp that consists of a
pey p that means open mouth and a resh r, that means head, implying
open head.

http://hasophim.com/ 7
In relation to the harvest process, the heads are opened to reveal the seed
(wheat) from the harvest, which is within the word for heifer. During the time of
YHVHs baptism of fire, His judgement, He will open up the heads of the
harvest to reveal the seed in every one of us. If the seed is of Him, contained
in an unbroken vessel, they with their selfless works will be gathered and
placed in the Barn. If the harvest does not contain any useful seed (only fleshly
works), then that will be burned by fire.
1 Cor 3:8-15 Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each
one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
9 For we are Elohims fellow workers; you are Elohims field, you

are Elohims building. 10 According to the grace of Elohim which was

given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and
another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. 11 For
no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is
Yshua the Messiah. 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold,
silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each ones work will become
clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and
the fire will test each ones work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyones work
which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyones
work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as
through fire.
Any work that comes from brokenness, (Adam parah), a selfish motive with the
appearance of benefiting the Kingdom, those works will be burned in the Day
YHVH will separate the wheat from the chaff. Those who only operate in
selfishness, even if they know all the truth and wisdom of YHVH, if there is not
seed of the Spirit found in them, then they will burn with their selfish seed, that
is like chaff in YHVHs eyes. Remember all of Lucifers works are like chaff,
because they are rooted in selfishness and rebellion, and those who follow him,
will receive the same reward.
This is also depicted by the wooden cart that carried the Ark that was eventually
destroyed, and its wood provided the fuel for the baptism of fire or burnt
offering, where the two cows, the First Adam and Second Adam, were
sacrificed unto YHVH.

House of the Son. Yshua also represents the cart that carried the Ark of the
Covenant, the wooden or earthly vessel that was broken and became part of
the Sacrifice unto YHVH. He also represents the Ark, that contained the
Commandments and the Testimony of YHVH, where He came to rectify and
teach His Commandments and become a Testimony through His life and what
He achieved when He walked the earth. Lastly, He was also represented by the
two heifers, representing the two sacrifices conducted outside of the Temple
area, the Purification Sacrifice of the Red Heifer and the Atonement Sin
Sacrifice represented by one of the two goats on the Day of Atonement.

The Red Heifer and the Construction of Temple

According to Judaic holy law, it is forbidden for Jews to set foot on the Temple
Mount until it has been purified by sprinkling the ashes of a pure-bred red heifer
over the site. There can only be a functioning priesthood in Israel once a red
heifer has been sacrificed and its ashes used for purification. The priesthood
cannot function without the ceremony of the red heifer's ashes mixed with the
water from the pool being sprinkled onto each of the individual priests.
Qualifying a Red Heifer: According to Mishnah Parah, the presence of two
black hairs invalidates a Red Heifer, in addition to the usual requirements of an
unblemished animal for sacrifice. The animal must be entirely of one colour, and
there is a series of tests listed by the rabbis to ensure this; for instance, the hair
of the cow must be straight (to ensure that the cow had not previously been
yoked, as this is a disqualifier). The absolute rarity of the animal, combined with
the detailed ritual in which it is used, has given the Red Heifer special status in
Jewish tradition.
Because the state of ritual purity obtained through the ashes of a Red Heifer is
a necessary prerequisite for participating in Temple service, efforts have been
made in modern times by Jews wishing for biblical ritual purity and in
anticipation of the building of The Third Temple, to locate a Red Heifer and
recreate the ritual. In recent years, the institute thought to have identified two
candidates, one in 1997 and another in 2002.

http://hasophim.com/ 9
The Temple Institute had initially declared both kosher but later found each to
be unsuitable but currently claim that they have a third candidate.
Identifying the Place of Sacrifice: According to the Mishnah, the ceremony of
the burning of the red heifer took place on the Mount of Olives. A ritually pure
Kohen slaughtered the heifer and sprinkled its blood in the direction of the
Temple seven times. In recent years, the site of the burning of the Red Heifer
on the Mount of Olives has been tentatively located by archaeologist Yonatan
Adler. There have been two candidates for the Red Heifer and a current third.
This is evidence of the first occurrences of this happening in the last 2000
years. Religious Jews have seen this as a sign of the coming if the Messiah and
the need for the construction of the Third Temple. Temple-sacrifices may only
be started once purification ceremonies are conducted using the ashes of a
Kosher Red Heifer. The starting of daily sacrifices as prophesied in the Word
will signal the beginning of the Great Tribulation, and this makes the sign of the
Red Heifer an important one to look out for, because it must precede these
events. This sign will be confirmed by two witnesses; when they stop the daily
sacrifices and put up the Abomination of Desolation in the Holy place which
could be the Temple Mount, before the construction of the Temple.
Dan 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken
away, and the desolating abomination set up, a thousand two hundred
and ninety days shall occur (tribulation).
Mar 13:14-19 But when you see the abomination of desolation, that
spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (let him who
reads understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
(19) For in those days shall be affliction (tribulation), such as has not
been from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and
never shall be.
The red heifer was also considered sacred to the Greek god Apoll. Red Heifers
are featured in many myths. So we see the man of sin or man of perdition,
referred to in Revelation 9 and 2 Thessalonians 2. Perdition is the Greek word
apoleia that is linked to Apollyon, better known as Apollo, the Greek god who
is also associated with a Red Heifer. Coincidence or relevant? We have to see
how the end time story unfolds to see the validity of this relvelation.
Rev 9:11 And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit,
whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek, he has the name
Apollyon.
2 Thes 2:3-4 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not
come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin] is revealed,
the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is
called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God] in the temple of
God, showing himself that he is God.
Apollo is connected to the Abomination of Desolation as confirmed by the
history recorded in the Book of the Maccabees, where an image of Zeus was
placed in the Holy Place in order to defile the Temple.
