PRESS RELEASE
In-Home Senior Care Provider to Open First Canadian Franchise Location in September
Senior Helpers, one of the nations premier providers of personalized in-home senior care, today
announced plans to expand to Canada in an effort to offer personal care and companion services to
seniors who wish to live in the comfort of their own home. Following the success of its U.S. expansion
efforts, Senior Helpers will align with Stonewood Equity Fund I, who will serve as the brands master
franchise in Canada. Together they will open the first Canadian location in the Durham Region, part of
the greater Toronto area, on September 15.
Through its positive approach to care, Senior Helpers aims to empower seniors living
with age-related illnesses and mobility challenges by offering them the opportunity to
remain in the comfort of their own home. With an emphasis on specialized training in its
Parkinsons Care Program and Senior Gems Alzheimers and Dementia Training
Program, Senior Helpers offers a simple three-step process for new clients including an
informational call, initial in-home interview, and choosing a caregiver, to ensure families
feel comfortable before any Senior Helpers caregivers step foot into their home.
We were drawn to Senior Helpers by the quality services it offers, and the potential to
be a part of a company that is known as the first in the industry to provide specialized
caregiver training in Alzheimers, Dementia, and now, Parkinsons disease care, said
Tennille Kerrigan, President of Stonewood Equity Fund I. We are proud to provide a
valuable resource to our community by helping to alleviate the stress associated with
caregiving and ensure a better quality of life for families through personalized in-home
senior care.
Senior Helpers plans to grow to more than 60 Canadian locations over the next 10
years.
