SILVER JUBILEE | Father Philip will celebrate his 25 years of ordination as a priest on Wednesday.

There will be a Solemn Mass at 7.00pm at which Bishop Lindsay Urwin will preach. Champagne
and nibbles will follow. If you need transport please speak to Frank today. For anybody who is at
Church early, Evening Prayer will be said at 6.00 pm and you are welcome to join Father Philip for
this short service.
STUDY GROUP | Our Study Group continues on Monday. Instead of having a
regular group through the year we are running a set of groups through the
year. The session begins at 12 Noon with the short office of mid-day prayer.
This initial series will be a course with short video talks by the Archbishop of
Canterbury Justin Welby, on Getting more out of the Bible. Bring some
sandwiches if you like. The session will be over by 1.15pm and 1.30pm. The
remaining sessions are on: Scripture in Worship | Studying Scripture |
Encountering Scripture. This course is ideal for people who are new to the
Bible, as well as those who know the Bible well but are looking for inspiration
and resources.
MONDAY | is the Feast of Saint Thomas the Apostle. As we are the Church of the Holy Apostles it
is right that we celebrate this day and the Eucharist will be celebrated at 1.15pm (after the Bible
Study). All are welcome, whether you have been to the study group or not
WEDNESDAY EUCHARIST | Because of the evening celebration for Fr Philips Silver Jubilee, there
will be NO MASS on Wednesday morning.
PAX CHRISTI | have organised an afternoon forum with speakers, conversation and afternoon tea
on Saturday 15th July, 1.30pm to 4.00pm at St Theresas Hall, 18 Drummartin St, Albion. Speakers
are from the Sudanese Community and is a good opportunity to learn about the culture and
history of the South Sudanese Community in Sunshine. Fr Daniel and members of the 12 Noon
congregation have helped in the organisation of this. All are welcome.
