AIMS OF LESSON:
By the end of the lesson students will be able to:
to use the verbs in the right structures;
to express likes and dislikes;
to develop and practice productive and receptive skills (writing, speaking);
OBJECTIVES:
A. Cognitive objectives:
to check and improve the structure;
to give students more practice on pronunciation, vocabulary and the structures previously
taught.
B. Affective objectives:
making students confident in their ability to use the language;
creating interest in the topic of the lesson;
creating a relaxed atmosphere, proper for studying;

ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS:
T will offer Ss guidance in solving certain exercises if it is necessary;
T will offer Ss supplementary explanation in Romanian if it is necessary;
Some Ss might have problems when working in pairs or in group.
ASSESSMENT ACTIVITY:Ss will be assessed during class participation.

STAGES OF THE LESSON
I. WARM-UP:
AIMS: -to involve Ss and motivate them to participate; -to develop speaking skills,
Activity 1: Greet the Ss, waiting for an answer. T asks if there are any absents today and
what's the date. Check the homework.
TIMING: 3 min.

II. LEAD IN
AIMS: - to create interest in the topic; -to encourage Ss to speak freely; -to check and
improve pronunciation, -to develop and practice productive and receptive skills (speaking)
Activity 1: Tell Ss they have new classmates. Introduce the boy and the girl figures by
saying their names and what they like. Ask a student to introduce herself/himself tha same
way but she or he also has to remember the name of the previous student as well as the
activity he or she likes to do it. (ANNEX 1)

III. PRESENTATION
AIMS:-to introduce new structures; -to match the names of the activities with the
corresponding image;
Activity 1: Show Ss flashcards of differrent activities. Ask Ss if they like doing some of
those activities. The T announces the title and the aims of the new lesson. Each student
receives a note with the name of one activity on the flashcards. Ss have to match the
pictures with the correct definition. (ANNEX 2)
TIMING: 5 MIN.

AIMS:-to introduce new structures; -to express dislikes;
Activity 2: Ask Ss if they like all doing all the activities above. Elicit answers. Show them
the difference between the first structure I like music and I like listening to music and
ask them what is the difference and what has changed. Write the affirmative forms of the
verb to like. The teacher asks Ss to point to one activity that they dont like and make a
sentence. Do the same with the negative forms then write them on the blackboard, only the
singular forms. (ANNEX 3)

IV. PRACTICE
AIMS: - to check and improve vocabulary, - to give students more practice on the
structures previously taught.
Activity 1: Ss solve a worksheet in order to use the structures (ANNEX 4)
TIMING: 10 MIN.
TECHNIQUES AND INTERACTION: T-Ss, Ss-Ss, dialogue, exercise,
observation, individual work
AIMS: - to check and improve vocabulary, - to give students more practice on the
structures previously taught.
Activity 2: Ss choose one of the flashcards and,in pairs, they ask each other whether they
like or they dont like a certain activity. Introduce the interrogative forms of the verb.
TIMING: 7 MIN.
TECHNIQUES AND INTERACTION: T-Ss, Ss-Ss, dialogue, exercise,
observation, pair work
V. FREE PRACTICE
AIMS: - to create a relaxed atmosphere, proper for studying; - use these structures in the right
context; - to ask questions about likes and dislikes;
Activity 1: Toss a ball to one student and he or she says what he/she likes. Then he tosses
the ball to another student and the game continues until they have expressed their opinions.
TIMING: 5 MIN.

I. EVALUATION
AIMS:- to check Ss understanding of the lesson; - to get a feed-back from the Ss.
Activity 1: The teacher announces the homework and gives the students the explanations on
how to solve it.
