Structure name : Support SCT for current transformer

Design of structure is done with TOWER software using the finite element method / nonlinear method.

1.1 Materials
1.1.1 Steel

Members and conections are designed according to ASCE 10.

For the design of the tower members, the material shall be as follows :
Hot Rolled shape and plates according to the standard BS EN 10 025

Structural steel S 355 JR

Ultimate stresses
The following ultimate stresses shall not be exceeded in the design of the tower members.

High tensile steel S355 according to EN 10025:

Yield strength 355 N/mm, (Nominal Thickness 16 mm)
Yield strength 345 N/mm, (16 mm Nominal Thickness 40 mm)
Tensile strength 490 N/mm
Bearing strength 735 N/mm (1.5x490)

1.1.2 Bolts

Diameter of Bolts : 16mm

Connection bolts Class 5.6

Anchor bolts Class 5.6

Tensile strength 500 N/mm

Shearing strength 300 N/mm (0.60x500)
