UK VS USA Education System

To be begin with students who are planning to study whether in American or Britiain, they have
to consider that both differ from one another in terms of career length,assignment overload,costs and
granding.however, while both certainly provide an excellent environment for learning , there are many
differences between the two countries regarding the structure of the university as well as student life.

Perhaps the most important difference between education system in America and Britain is the
amount of time take to finish degree.in general ,degree programs in US take about 1 year longer than
programs in the UK.BA in America is 4 years meanwhile in Britain is 3 years.MA in America is 2 years an
in Britain is 1 year.Although this varies depending upon whether receive a Masters degree prior to
Phd.in both system,we can go directly to Phd programout of undergraduate program,but in the Britain.It
is more common to complete a Masters degree first.in America , Phd is 5-7 years or longer meanwhile
in UK 3 years.Time of study are shorter in Britain because the course programs are generally much more
focused than in America.

Because the US system emphasizes breadth ,courses require weekly or even biweekly reading as
weel as other assignment such as small writing projects , major research papers and oral presvntations
throught the course.In the UK , most schools are much more lecture based with only occasional
assignments and instead the entire grade may be based on one final exam. In the America , the grade
will be based on the performance on the variety of assignments, with a final exam making up a
percentage of the total grade.

The cost education in the both countries is far from cheap, but the cost of an education in US is
generally higher.Fees for citizens of the Uk is about $14,300 per year meanwhile for international
students can be significantly higher.The government sets the limits for tuition fees and each individual
school sets its own fee up to that limit.The government has v government little contol over what
universities charge in America

While both countries provide a great education, each system approaches education slightly
differently and there are advantages and disadvantages to each.If you are considering getting education
in either the US or the UK, you should take into consideration the various differences mentioned above.
