OTHER TIPS
1. Do not be afraid to just read case digests. It is always better to read the cases in full but if you are
pushing for time, look for quality case digests and read those.
2. Always ask the professor what book/s he is using. Use those. Sometimes, the professor will say,
'Every damn book in the whole damn universe' so you have to be more clever. Listen to what
questions he is asking and derive what book he is reading. If his questions are all over the place,
maybe he really is using every damn book in the whole damn universe. Sorry.
3. As much as possible use two books for one subject, even the minor ones, and as much as
possible these books should be contrary to each other. The best example is Jurado and Tolentino in
Succession. When you read them, especially the latter parts, they will diverge on some points. That's
good. That gives you more ammo. You can say in recitation, "I qualify.'
4. Always have block unity. If you can do it, go for batch unity. Share digests, notes, heartaches,
recit questions. Do not think it's for quid pro quo. Inom inom din pag may time.
5. Practice your handwriting.
6. Always go to class. Although I have nothing against those who absent themselves from class to
escape recitation, it is always better to attend class and listen. Most of the time, because of the
Socratic method, your peers are your teachers, and your teacher is just a facilitator. This seems
obvious but sometimes we forget. Patibayan lang ng puso sometimes.
