Career Profile
I am and experienced person with 16 cumulative years of work in humanitarian and development
programs. I hold a Masters of Art Degree in Community Economic Development and Bachelors of Art
in Development Studies respectively in addition to professional trainings in management,
administration, project management and emergency programming. I have worked in national and
International positions with responsibilities in program coordination, management, administration,
grant management, organizational development, capacity building and partnership coordination.
Conversant managing grants form major donors such as US government, OFDA, USAID, United
Nations funds, ECHO, EU etc.

I have good command in partnership coordination and networking, a good communicator, mobilizer
and strategic planner. Am a positive results oriented person with people centered skills, problem
solving ability, high diplomacy abilities and self motivation to work with minimum supervision in conflict
and post conflict setting. Am also conversant in relevant computer skills including MSWord, excel,
Power Point, Outlook, internet, SPSS data analysis and able to learn more. I have basic knowledge of
Arabic but a fast learner in languages.

Work Experience
1. Human Rights Focus (HURIFO)
Position: Research Coordinator
Job description
Conduct research on environmental and protection issues around Acholi Sub-Region, through
interviews, focus group discussions and observations.
Coordinate gathering information and assessments from HURIFOs network of human rights
monitors.
Supervise the implementation of the project cyle: planning of activities, follow-up of the
implementation, collection of sources for verifications.
Liaise with local government and NGOs working on environmental issues.
Manage issues that emerge in the programs and set critical remedial actions for successful
implementation.
Organize mid-course review workshops and day to day review meetings presenting non research
issues that influence the research process.
Manage program budgets: regularly monitoring of the expenditure states according to the allocated budgets
and programmatic forecasts, validation of the expenditures and reviewing budget lines in consultations with
donors and management.
Compile research findings and deliver to Senior Researcher, contributing to final Research Report.

2. Joint Acholi Sub Regional Leaders Forum (JASLF) in partners with Trocaire international
Position: Research consultant April to June 1017
Responsibilities:
Train partners in research methodologies on instituting protection on customary land in Acholi Sub
Region capturing all the environmental issues in the research areas of communities in transition
from the aftermath of civil conflict in northern Uganda.
Manage both quantitative and the qualitative data and ensure its uploaded in the data base.
Manage issues that emerge in the programs and set critical remedial actions for successful
implementation.
Ensure that data gathering, analysis and reporting is gender sensitive and with equitable
participation.
Create a positive rapport with the partners and communities at the assigned site so that they are
on board with the research and able to fully participate in the process.
Organize mid-course review workshops and day to day review meetings presenting non research
issues that influence the research process.
Make presentation of the respective findings/ observations in the general meeting
Observe pertinent developments and activities in the field that resonate with the research
objectives and record them appropriately.

Work closely and collaborate with all partners/stakeholders in the field including the respective
district, sub-county, parish and village leadership; cultural leadership with their local structures;
special interest groups; CSOs; Elders and opinion leaders.

3. Professional Fellowship Program, New England Center for Women in Transition (NELCWIT)
MA, USA April to September 2016
Responsibilities:
Participated in data collection on the level of violence among USA based undocumented migrants.
Participated in the GBV case responses activities focusing on prevention, management and
referrals; responds 24 hours crisis hotline calls, counseling, case management, post traumatic
responses, family support, referrals etc.
Managed alternative livelihood skills development activities such as vegetable growing, tailoring
and mentorship activities to meet specific needs of victims and survivors and enhance forward
change in their wellbeing.
Participated in various state and county GBV coordination meetings in collaboration with various
stakeholders; in communities, government departments, judiciary and well-wishers.
Participated in development of reading and awareness creation materials such as brochures,
newsletters, cards etc to expand knowledge on GBV consequences, prevention and management.
Participated in facilitating trainings for GBV community network teams on effective management,
response and prevention in respective communities.
Made presentations in prisons for perpetrators of violence to create awareness on the dangers of
perpetrating violence, prevention and management and peaceful mechanisms of survivals after
prison life.
Was the East Africa Congress Representative and presented the group professional fellowship
activities, experiences and findings for the time in the US to the congress and other 44 member
countries in Washington DC.

4. Empower Haitian Women Living with Disabilities; (Association pour lAutonomisation des
Femmes Hatiennes Mobilit Rduite (AAFHAMR) in Haiti January 2015 to
date
Position: International Project Advisor ( home based volunteer)
Plan, design and develop group led, inclusive, nondiscriminative and participatory project to
support the protection of women and girls living with disability against exploitation including sexual
and gender based violence, women and child abuses, and in line with the projects vision and
donor-approved work plan, and AAFHAMR plus country program policies and procedures.
Lead the planning of project activities and set appropriate performance targets ensuring
adherence to technical standards, best practices, reporting time lines and donor guidelines are
respected.
Contribute to preparing work plans, monitoring and evaluation plans, and technical and
administrative reports.
Design the required reporting formats, project tracking tools for monitoring, ensures financial
donor compliance and review grant financial reports.
Build capacity of organizations staff on project cycle management using online ensuring data are
used and analyzed for documentation, program planning, learning and orientation and program
performance measurement.

Prepare and submit required donor project narrative reports, quarterly performance data, as well
as other reports needed/required by the local government, donors, the region or headquarters.

5. World Vision Sudan Darfur regin and South Sudan 2011 -2013
