Communicating the WebEx Brand
The WebEx core brand message and attributes are carried through
all mediums of communications through the intelligent use of color,
typography, photography, and other WebEx brand elements. Proper
usage is important to ensure the quality of the experience of every
WebEx customer and potential customer.

The brand elements include: The WebEx logo, the WebEx ball, the
WebEx wave, color fields and bars, typefaces, and line art.

The New WebEx Green

The original green in the WebEx logo has

PMS 376C posed many problems during production,
CMYK 50C.0M.100Y.0K causing inconsistencies in color, and
RGB 127R.195G.28B ultimately a weaker brand image.
HEX 7FC31C In order to maintain a greater brand
consistency, the original PMS color will
be replaced by a new color PMS 376C.
The New WebEx Green will be easier,
to reproduce and maintain across all
mediums of communication.

New WebEx Green

Color
Close match is possible between PMS spot
color, 4-color printing and online applications.

WebEx ball and Logo colors match, strength-

ening the relationship between the two.

Legibility
Has good contrast and is easily legible
against light or dark backgrounds.

Lends itself well to color fields.

Cost
More cost effective, due to number of inks
required.

Concept
The New WebEx Green is a fresh, clean
modern color that reflects forward-thinking,
technological advancement, and human
interaction.

The WebEx logo is a two color type treatment. The WebEx logo
can be used with or without the tagline.

Ideally the logo will be used on a white background for maximum

impact and clarity. The logo will have a minimum of 1x-height white
space around it.

In order to maintain legibility the WebEx logo the minimum size is

1/4”, .64 centimeters, 1.5 picas, or 18 points.

I.2
Using the WebEx Logo

Color
The color version of the logo ideally is used on a white or light neutral
backgrounds for greatest impact.

Dark Backgrounds
For use on darker backgrounds please use the two color White and
Gray version of the logo.

Exception: In certain applications such as silk screening or embroidery,

the color version may be used on a black background. If specing this
version, please take care to ensure that the logo is legible.

I.3
Grayscale
For better legibility and clarity please use the grayscale version of the
logo. Depending on the nature of the background please use

a) Web 100% Black: Ex 40% Black

b) Web White: Ex 40% Black

One Color
For applications where only one color is permitted. White areas/
background color indicates no ink.

I.4
Placing the WebEx Logo

Recommended Position

For most applications the optimum placement for the WebEx logo is
the top left corner, or right corner of the layout with 1x-height white
space around it, or a reasonable margin.

Placement Options

If required the above logo placements are also acceptable. However

for signage and large applications the logo must be placed at least
3 feet from the ground.

I.5
The WebEx Ball

The WebEx Ball has been derived from the center of the WebEx Logo.
The ball symbolizes the powerful global MediaTone Network. The ball
has been trademarked and will appear with the ™ symbol as shown
on left at least once on the page.

For most applications the 3-D version of the ball is recommended.

The minimum size at which it maybe used is 3/16” and can be
enlarged as large as required.

While reproducing for print applications the ball normally prints in

4-color. For stationery a 2-color PMS ball is available.

2-D Ball
A flat 2-color version is also available for
embroidery and screen printing. This version
of the ball is used minimally and only when
absolutely necessary.

I.6
Using the 3-D Ball

When using the 3-D ball as a graphic element, no other elements can
be placed in front or over the ball, including type.

As a general rule the ball is to be perceived as a ball always. Its shape

or form may not be modified in anyway by its combination with of
other elements or contextually.

The ball is the strongest when used on a white background. But it is

acceptable to use it on other neutral and light colored backgrounds.

While using the 3-D ball as a graphic element, if required the shadow
at the base of the ball maybe removed to suit the application.

While using the ball multiple times in an instance, the ball must appear
whole at least once.

I.7
Lock-ups

CMYK version of the WebEx logo to maintain color consistency with
the WebEx ball.

WebEx Wave

The WebEx wave most commonly is used as a secondary graphic

element. There is no restrictions on the minimum or maximum size
of the wave. By default for most corporate communications the color
of the wave is WebEx Green in color. However when applying it to
specific products or campaigns the wave color may be modified.
(Please see Color Palette for more information on color.)

2
Alternate Wave Graphic
A more elaborate version of the wave graphic
is available for use. This version can be used
as an alternate to the one above.
Currently it is primarily used in the corporate
PowerPoint Template and HTML e-mails.

3

This version has been derived from version

Using the Wave Form

As a rule the wave form must always be perceived as a wave.

In any given layout only one of the three wave forms may be used.

maintain consistency.

The wave may be rotated 90 degrees

clockwise to be vertical. Please note the

The wave may be used as a background

graphic, with elements overlapping.
This treatment is recommended when
featuring people, so people appear in
front of the wave while other elements in
the photo are behind it.

II.8
Photography

While selecting photography it is important to choose images that

communicate the attributes of the brand. WebEx primarily uses
portraits and business lifestyles to represent the brand.

The images that work best for WebEx have a clean, natural and
modern style. Images may either be color photographs or black and
white. To be consistent only one or the other may be used in a select
campaign or project.

Some other things to consider while picking images are:

Lighting
Ideally the lighting will be a natural neutral light. If a filter is used a
cooling filter is preferred. Images that are slightly over exposed offer
more modern feel, with larger areas in and out of focus.

Images with excessive warm tones should be avoided as they tend to

look dated.

Current Technology
The computers and other devices featured in the photographs must
look current.

If comping screenshots of WebEx applications into computer screens

please ensure that they are accurate and up to date.

II.9
Portraits
The people selected to convey the brand message, must portray
professionalism, confidence, and success — real people and their
business lifestyles.

The portraits must appear natural and not staged or exaggerated.

It is also important to ensure that a diverse nature of people are

featured. WebEx is a global company with users worldwide.

unique application offered by WebEx, for specific purposes.

The application logos can be reproduced as large as they need to be.

The minimum size at which these logos may be reproduced is .625”.

The application logos follow the same rules as the WebEx logo
with regards to background color, placement and minimum white
