Save yourself the excess-baggage charges and
lighten up your make-up bag quite literally
Being on holiday is the perfect time to rest your mind, body and
make-up bag. Give your skin a break and boost your natural glow
instead. Make-up for summer is best kept simple, says make-up artist
Andrew Gallimore. Anyone can wear a bronzed cheek or base, and
it looks great on the beach. To amp up your glow, use gold-infused
make-up whether it be for your face or body as it will leave your skin
shimmery and perfectly highlighted, advises Andrew. A matte bold
pout looks great with a tan, but avoid anything too high maintenance:
that doesnt suit sunshine or heat. A tinted balm with SPF will give your
lips a quick pop of colour. If in doubt, opt for all-bronze everything
lids, cheeks and base but remember when applying, less is more.

The body elixirs to leave you
glimmering and perfectly golden
Achieving a sun-kissed glow doesnt
have to mean hours of blood, sweat and
sun damage. But preparation is key. It
goes without saying that its best to wax
and exfoliate before stepping into the
heat, as this will ensure your skin is ready
to take on the glow, says tanning guru
James Read. Use an exfoliating polish
regularly in the run up to your holiday
this will drain excess fluid, leaving you
with a sleeker silhouette, he says. For
an anti-ageing tan, always fake it. It will
leave your skin golden and damage-free.
Be sure to use an SPF30 or above
[Glamour loves SPF50, FYI], not only to
ensure the suns rays dont get the better
of your skin long-term, but also to
protect your fake tan from the effects
of the sea or chlorine, says James.
