Switching Lab

1- Configure basic configuration on all devices.

a. Hostname.
b. Enable secret password : cisco
c. Username cisco and secret password Cisco
d. Enable console and telnet security using username and password.
e. Configure message of the day to warn against the unauthorized access.
2- Configure VTP as below
a. DS1 & DS2 are servers and and the others are clients.
b. VTP domain cisco_VTP
c. VTP MD5 authentication with password C!s(0
3- Configure Management IPs on all switches for VLAN 10 as follows:
a. AS1 : 192.168.10.11/24
b. AS2 : 192.168.10.12/24
c. AS3 : 192.168.10.13/24
d. AS4 : 192.168.10.14/24
e. DS1 : 192.168.10.21/24
f. DS2 : 192.168.10.22/24
g. Default-gateway 192.168.10.1
4- Enable CDP on all switches and check the CDP neighbors.
5- Configure all trunk connections with encapsulation dot1q and allowed VLANs 2, 3,
10 and native VLAN 10.
6- Configure VLANs 2, 3&10 on server switches and ensure that these VLANs have
created on all other switches.
a. VLAN 2 name: Engineers
b. VLAN 3 name: HR
c. VLAN 10 name MGMT
7- Configure all PCs ports as access ports in VLANs displayed in topology.
8- Configure PCs with IPs displayed in topology and gateway 192.168.X.1 where X is the
VLAN ID.
9- Ensure that PCs into the same VLAN can ping each other.
10- Configure InterVLAN routing on DS1 switch for VLANs:
a. VLAN2 : 192.168.2.1/24
b. VLAN3 : 192.168.3.1/24
c. VLAN10: 192.168.10.1/24
11- Configure STP as follows:
a. DS1 as primary Server for VLANs 1,2 and DS2 as Backup Server.
b. DS2 as primary Server for VLANs 3,10 and DS1 as Backup Server.
c. Check all BIDs and ports states and roles and draw down the topology with
all these information.
12- Enable port security on Port connected to PC0 as follows:
a. Sticky learning method.
b. Max number of Macs 1.
c. Violation actions restrict.
13- Configure etherchannel between DS1 & DS2 using Cisco Protocol.
