Description

The Chemetron Fire Systems Dual Action Break Rod
Alarm Station is made of unbreakable Lexan plastic
affixed to a 16-gauge steel backplate. The backplate is
predrilled to mount easily on a variety of standard
electrical boxes.
A concealed latching mechanism and visual break
rod tube are designed to give positive indication of
station operation without the danger of flying glass.
The device can be restored to its prealarm condition
by resetting the latching mechanism with the hex
wrench provided and by replacing the break rod tube.
ARCHITECT/ENGINEER SPECIFICATIONS
The manual actuation device shall be a Chemetron
Fire Systems stock number (see ordering information)
Dual Action Break Rod manual alarm station. It shall
be operated by pushing in a hinged cover, allowing the
bottom portion of the station to be pulled downward,
thereby breaking a glass rod. Once operated, the
bottom portion of the station shall remain in the down
position to provide positive indication of the source of
the alarm. Reset of the activated station shall be
accomplished by using an uncommon tool. The
station shall be constructed of molded red Lexan
plastic. All designations and operating instructions
shall be in raised white lettering for easy visibility.
