To Whom it May Concern,

It is with great enthusiasm and interest that I write this letter in regards to a
teaching position in your district. I believe that I would be a great educator in your
school because of my teaching experience, passion, and dedication to teaching. I will
graduate from Eastern Michigan Universitys College of Education in April of 2016.
At that time, I will have completed my student teaching experience in a first grade
classroom at Hardy Elementary School. This experience has given me the
opportunity to take on full responsibility.

With lead teaching, I have developed units in various subjects, incorporating

high-level thinking. I have also benefited from implementing various forms of
technology. I have used Skype to communicate with classes around the country,
discussing how our classroom is similar and different. I have also participated in the
Same Day in March Project. This entailed using excel to record our temperature,
and also to see data of other temperatures around the world. I have used Twitter to
keep parents updated on their child, and also used a blog to highlight specific things
we have been working on. I also structured the curriculum around the workshop
approach, with a focus on mathematics, reading, and writing.

Through student teaching, I have become proficient in classroom

management. I have also applied differentiation instruction in all subject areas with
the use of formative and summative assessments. I communicated with parents,
other teachers, and students, to make a warm, welcoming, and critical thinking
classroom. I believe that every child is capable of learning in all situations, and my
goal is to create a classroom that is built on trust and a foundation for learning.

I believe I have the skills required to go above and beyond for my students. I
am a creative and passionate individual who will incorporate this same attitude into
my classroom. I am capable and willing to work with a wide-range of ages and
students. I have the ability to collaborate with other teachers, parents, and
administrators to provide success for my students. It would be a privilege to be a
part of an elementary school in your district. I will bring all of these skills with me to
motivate and ensure my students will succeed in all areas.
